I'd guess that depends on what you think makes it great. I'm with lawrocket, it's changing. If it's changing from something you think is great, then you think it's bad. If it's changing to something that you think is great, that's good.

Many minorities and women probably like the America of now better than the America of the 60's and 70's.

Of course, their "nature" has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that their work isn't the slightest bit interesting or that that they are working for someone who spends every hour of their day trying to find new ways of screwing their employees out of the wage and working conditions until there becomes a law that makes such a thing more difficult to do"

Dude where did I say _anything_ about their appearance?

Judging people based on their work performance is exactly what a business ought to do.

My comment was intended to convey that they ought to be judged on their work performance alone--not on their appearance or their recreational substance use.

You cannot "Make" a person do anything. If you force them into it, you are doing it yourself.
If they choose to not do the job - that is their choice.

Right. You then would think: Gee, why would they decide not to do the job? Is it because they are lazy, or is it because they have an inadequate incentive to do so?

Most of the free marketeers here would say that one of the major rules of economics is that people respond to incentives. (After all, that is why they engage in the market- they have an incentive to do so because they can earn profit) This is lost when someone is employed by someone who doesn't provide an adequate incentive. Thus, they simply say that the employee is "lazy" as opposed to compensating them correctly. (Not just in the form of wages or benefits, either.)
