christelsabine 1 #27 September 14, 2009 Quote .... All this does is demonstrate that you like to run your mouth without actually knowing what you're talking about, Fräu. In other words, put up or shut up. You should hook up with mpohl - you two seem to be cut from the same mold, with a lot in common. .... All this ..... Jeez, Mr. Rich. This, exactly, is your strategy. You swagger around about things you've never seen. Frau, Fräu ..... does that make any difference or sense to you? I doubt it. You will not understand it. So, don't worry - be happy. dudeist skydiver # 3105

Once again you've failed to substantiate your claims, or deliver any substance. Once again, you presume to know what I have and haven't seen, when you actually know no such thing. Speaking of "sense", I think it would be a miracle if you ever wrote a sensible message. I'll go back to just ignoring your childish taunts, as before. A simple "yes" or "no" should suffice. If yes, why? If no, we agree. In my world, yes. As we already banned knifes which are over a regulated length. The sword surely falls under that regulation. In your world, no. No need. *You* allow every single tool which could be used to kill. So what. Just go ahead and enjoy yourselves. CornishChris 5 #40 September 15, 2009 Nothing in your list of suggested items to ban was designed specifically as a tool to kill other people, swords were, and are still used by some to that end. It's like saying "Ban smoking in public places, crazy, you might as well ban cheese". No correlation. CJP Gods don't kill people. 4000m 0 #41 September 15, 2009 Hi, i consider myself liberal, but in my opinion free citizens of a free country should be allowed to own samurai swords, as they should be allowed to own guns as well. But on the other hand, i can understand why this ban was agreed. I live in Finglas, which is considererd to be one of the rougher parts of Dublin and things have gotten really bad over here. Every 13yr. old knacker is carrying a knife and he is using it. Without any hesitation and also during the most banal disputes. Nevertheless i don't think that the only answer of the government should be to forbid everything that becomes problematic. Whats next? I imagine that a chainsaw could do a lot of damage too. Is a chainsaw driving licence the answer? Do we need a register for all chainsaw owners? Well, on the other hand, that would create so many bureaucracy jobs that we get full employment again! Hmm, i think i just solved the crime and the unemployment problem in one coup EDIT: Typo Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/4000meter Youtube Favorites: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLjnVsp4Epra-PRDETgrF3M04B3X86X1eh

JohnRich 4 #46 September 16, 2009 QuoteEvery 13yr. old knacker is carrying a knife and he is using it. Without any hesitation and also during the most banal disputes. No matter what weapons you ban, you will still have 13-yr. old knackers using whatever weapons they can get their hands on. The problem is not the weapons. The problem is the fact that you have violent 13-yr. olds. How did they get this way? What is being done about THAT? Until you solve that culture problem, no weapon ban in the kingdom is going to stop those 13-yr. olds.

Scratch 0 #48 September 16, 2009 "Yes you are right, 54 years ago your country killed over 60 million people" Well, then may I suggest good Sir that you don't piss her off. The regulation of dangerous weapons is in principle sound. The logic is simple in that it tries to minimise the amount of damage that can be caused from the time that tempers and control are lost and when they are regained.
