For me, this is a rather serious concern.

Now I don't think our GOPers understand. Being the only "foreign" kid in wonder bread America you go out of your way to be help full.
After all no one can derive a prejudice if you are help full. And thus I go out of my way to help others, be it strangers or the authorities. And this is what kind of makes me sick. You come to my door I'm going to invite you in, you ask me a question I will answer it honestly and if you wish to search my phone or my PC I'll have no questions. We call this being civil. Growing up I was told that I couldn't afford to act "American" in which I mean denying help or providing assistance to the authorities. But watching this video, perhaps I need to be more American and less Persian.

Which is a real shame I honestly don't think tactics like this would work very well in capturing nor deterring terrorism. After all your average terrorist isn't too worried about how you feel about him and thus will most likely act "American" when questioned.

But you have to love the precedent that was laid down by our former boy king. It's going to take ages to clean up his sorry ass mess.

Well, the first flaw is here: "In this climate, it is vital that members of our communities inform themselves about our rights as Americans."
The video starts out asking how would you feel if you or your loved one who is innocent is interigated or deported as a result of these new tactics.......well if you are an american you can't be deported.

People don't seem to understand that if you are not an american citizen you don't get the rights of a citizen. If they did then they could vote and everything else to....which they can't....and you couldn't be deported either. Also, what would be the point of becoming a citizen if you had all the rights of one anyways?

Of course, if you are a citizen then the rights garanteed under the constitution should be protected no matter what!! That even include protecting them against the people in office who have and continue to ignore and destroy our rights and the rights of every american.

It is not american to refuse to cooperate. or denying help. I to would "be civil" and help as best I could. I see this a being american. If they go outside the law and violate my rights then I will defend my rights but I will not stop being civil even when definding my rights. That is american!

Thanks but I'm not going to test the waters on this issue. Yes I'm a naturalized citizen, I've lived here for well over 24 years of my 32 years of life, I have clearance levels and a few interesting ID cards. But all that aside, once I'm in the hands of customs none of that means a pile of beans.

I know I've been there. Spent 4 hours being questioned by some Joe who thought that he "had one".
