The vote from the black sector as opposed to what it would have been with a white Dem candidate WAS MINIMAL. The boost he got COLLECTIVELY from the black vote, Hispanic vote (who had felt disinfranchised from Bush) and the youth vote were, again, COLLECTIVELY significant. You act as though the differential black vote alone, as compared to previous years of black votes, was significant; it wasn't. You try to tally the entire black vote and say there, see XX Millions of black votes, that make sthe deal. Remember, most of those votes historically go to white Dem candidates anyway, so the differential isn't huge. The the 2M add-on, but that alone was insignificant.
