Finally the families of the victims from the Beltway Sniper are seeing justice. I hope this sends a message to other people who plan to go on a political shooting spree because of their religion.

I don't think religion played a part in this sniping spree. These two guys killed people in Louisiana, Alabama and Arizona. The killings in Alabama was of a liquor store robbery gone wrong.

I'm not sure what this guy's motive was without researching further, but good riddance. This execution is long overdue.

The feds did it right when they executed Timothy McVeigh in record time after the Oklahoma City bombing. JMHO.

What is your obsession, in one thread after another, with people who commit terrible crimes and happen to be Muslim? There is absolutely no evidence that Muhammad committed his crimes because of his particular religion. In fact, here is his ex-wife's insight into his possible motive:

http://www.wafb.com/Global/story.asp?S=11474236

This guy didn't do his crime spree "because he's a Muslim"; he did it because he's a social misfit.

Enough already.

I dont want you to think it's an obsession but don't you find it odd that his ex wife said his behavior changed after his conversion not to mention that these attacks happening after his Muslim conversion?

Not at all. It's not unusual for very troubled people to try to reinvent themselves any way they can; and religious conversion is one not-uncommon means for such people. Thus, it's logical that his conversion and his increasingly anti-social behavior would occur at coinciding points along the time-line of his life, and that his behavior would become increasingly anti-social as time went on - which in chronological terms, would be subsequent to his conversion.

You do realize that he is the only Black serial killer we have had all the other fuck are white dudes right.

Like I always say white, Christians seem to all be fucked in the head, killing and eating people. I guess its Jesus fault.

Good logic. How many Christians do fuck up things on the daily? Yea but you don't think of them as Christians you think of them just as fucked up people; being Muslim does not change that. There are fucked up people all around.

And if you are talking about “terrorist” or why we are hated just read up on some history. We have done things in the Middle East that if it were done to us we would react as harsh or even harsher considering our ability. It is convenient to think we are hated just because but the truth is our actions have caused the hate.

Again not trying to bash America I love it here but the truth is the truth. Denying it to feel all fuzzy is retarded.

I find it odd that there seems to be a lot of Christian pedophiles (especially Catholic), and so far I only heard once about a Muslim pedophile. Following your logic this means something is really wrong with a particular religion, correct?

Nope. There was one black serial killer just arrested last week for raping and killing as many as 11 women, and hiding the bodies in his house or burying them in the backyard. I tried to do a search but couldn't come up with anything without really being thorough. He was just simply a sicko.

I say shoot all worthless criminals right between the eyes on public television. That will send a message to all of them considering such heinous crimes. Make it a totally and completely equal opportunity execution.

The crime rate will virtually diminish.

You know that's why they didn't have a crime problem in Signapore until the UK took over.

What was the crime rate there during Javanese/Sumatran rule of the island? I have no idea and think that would be fascinating comparison seriously.

Hyperbolically, you don't mean the presence of white people -- or just British colonialsts -- caused crime in Singapore? :o

The British left Singapore in 1946. It's a very interesting place, imo. Very different from the US. Individualism is seen very differently than it is in the US. At the same t ime, they have some similar multi-ethnic/melting pot issues that we do.

Hey IO met a guy who was a British soldier who was caned in HK for defending himself in a bar fight.

The nationals were not even arrested.

He required many stitches to close the wounds.

In hindsight he should have killed them and run for it.

He was the victim of an attack and so he stayed to file a police report when they arrived.

The cops arrived and then proceeded to handcuff him and beat him for hours.

No you're getting it all wrong.... The UK stopped the captial punishment after control over Singapore.

Your second sentence doesn't make sense to me. I think there are some words missing: "after giving up control over Singapore"?

The British didn't stop capital punishment in Singapore, and they left in 1946.

I don't disagree with most of what you said, but you missed on some facts. There have been many black or dark skin-toned serial killers, spree killers, and mass murderers. For one reason or another, they don't tend to be sensationalized the way white serial killers do. Call it racism, marginalization, or any other fancy word. Just don't say that serial killers and mass murderers are white.

Not really. If you want to see someone actually executed in this country, there is nowhere that runs a more efficient death penalty machine than Virginia. In Virginia if they say they are going to execute someone they mean it. There is no other jurisdiction in the country--even Texas--which executes people as efficiently as Virginia.

Virginia has something called the 21 day rule which severely limits appeals and results in actual executions rather than endless appeals. Texas executes a similar number of people (proportional to its larger size) but has a huge death row of inmates who are able to game the process for decades. You can't game the process in Virginia if you are sentenced to die--you get one appeal and then you are executed.

I'm not commenting on whether any of this is good or bad--I'm merely saying that those who wanted to see Muhammad executed should be glad he was tried by Virginia and not by any other state, or under federal jurisdiction, where he might have committed crimes.

Six years from conviction to needle is a short length of time compared to most death sentences. Of course, most folks think six minutes after arrest was too long to wait to execute this particular piece of scum...

The UK never banned capital punishment in Singapore.
Singapore has capital punishment today. See the first line of the Wiki article you linked.
Before the British took over in the 18th Century, Singapore was part of the Javanese kingdom. I don't know if capital punishment was practiced or what the crime rates were then even notionally.
