Spender -In- Chief Obama's Blank Check!

Recommended Posts

Well lately people have said that Obama hasn't out spent Bush.......... Well the numbers are in. In fact it clearly shows he's surpassed President Bush and President Clinton by far. Here's the great thing about America. We are strong enough to bounce back with the 2010 elections in Congress and the 2012 elections in the White House. If any independents out there in the DZ community voted for Obama due to his campaign rhetoric on NO pork barrell spending; then I don't blame you if you're mad for the broken promises.

When I think FOX News I think Skychimp :S

To pretend this mess, total economic collapse on teh brink, automakers weeks away from total collapse, most banks almost BK, the mortage mess almost breaking this country, unemp climbing fast, 2 wars that are way expensive and not winning and the HC mess in the toilet and all due to the mismanagement of the ground chimp, GWB, and you blame Obama? Please, oh please keep that mindset, I need the extra Congress seats in 2010. Oh, go brag your 2009 win of what, 2 gubbernatorial seats :D - the RW is back :D:D:D.

This is also sad to watch the utter denials, blame throwing and victory cries for nothing wins while losing the WH and congress huge.

It's possible to pour gasoline on a fire you didn't start. You understand that concept, right?

No, you're so much more fucking brilliant than me, spell it out :S

I just love guys like you telling us how bad it is and how we're doing everything all wrong, but when cornered they have no resolve.

Oh, oh, I know, tax cuts my friends - or -Hoover's secret to who knows how many tousands, millions dead; LET THE ECONOMY FIX ITSELF, IT WILL ADJUST.

A person just looks foolish decrying the issues and not having resolve. Tell me, WHAT IS YOUR SOLUTION IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE STIMULUS. After all, what else has he/congress spent money on?

You're telling everyone how bad it was and how everything was all wrong, while at the same time continuing to do the exact same things.

1. STOP SPENDING SO MUCH FUCKING MONEY.

There is no money. We were out of money 12 trillion dollars ago. It's just digging the hole that much deeper, and that's not even considering the inflationary consequences.

2. STOP TRYING TO POLICE THE WORLD.

Pissing off half the world and then having to defend against the likely results of such actions is a shitty idea. How about just not pissing off everyone in the first place?

3. STOP CREATING MORAL HAZARD THEN TRYING TO REGULATE THE INHERENT PROBLEMS AWAY.

Don't pressure banks into giving people mortgages for which they wouldn't otherwise qualify, supply them with cheap, easy credit, and then try to regulate them into not taking advantage of it.

The solution? Don't create the situation in the first place, and there's nothing to regulate.

That clear enough for you?

that would be clear to everyone except the left. #1 I have been saying for a while but no one on the left wants to give up the free stuff they are getting and no one on the right wants to continue paying for the free stuff. # 3 is just common sense but then again we are back to the liberals wanting everyone to have everything and not what they have earned.

It's nice to see that someone can objectively see the elements in play in stead of worrying about what news source is reporting the facts of the math.

Does anyone else find it funny that we made a SPORT out of an EMERGENCY PROCEDURE?!?!

Here is the solution..... Capitalism has worked great for over 200 years in this country. You don't have the right to take hard earned money and spread it around to where you feel it's best suited. You don't have the right to mortgage my grandchildren's future for the next 50 plus years because you are stimulus drunk. A 5th grader could tell you the math isn't putting us on the right track. Justin is correct in his statement...... in each hand you have two jugs, one is gasoline and the other is water. Which do you throw????

Im sure this comment will piss alot of people off but here it goes...

my partial solution #1. lower funding to NASA, i mean really were NEVER going to colonize the moon or Mars or any place else why keep wasting trillions on the program. Im not saying stop it all together since that would destroy the economy even more, but we dont need to bomb the moon to see about water.

2#. Though i feel that were in Iraq for just reasons were dicken around ,to cut expenses here ive said it once before stop hiring all these third world workers and companies to do the work us soldiers can already perform. I talk with an electrician thats based here with me thats makeing just under 80k a year just to supervise a bunch of TCN's (third country nationals) putting in faulty electrical, when we have trained soldiers that have far more experience than him and his cronies.

#3. STOP FOREIGN AID...yes we give money, resources to everyone. though it makes me sound cruel i dont care about the starcing children in Ethiopia i care about the once in America, so take that money and resources and put it back into our economy.

#4. Again on the war topic...people think we came to Iraq souly for oil fine so be it, if we did then lets start taking the oil we came for instead of paying them double what its worth lets pay them 1/2 what its worth so they can start paying back what we gave them. Make no mistake we gave them TONS of shit, hospitals, schools, electric plants ect. If you could have sen this place in 2003 it was in ruins.

We PAID for tons of shit.. but way less than half of it was actually spent on stuff, the rest was profit for all those contractors who had friends in the administration.

Its called war profiteering.. and they did it very well.

It doesn't matter; the firetrucks will have a very hard time making it past the roadblocks and the land mines that the Republicans have been placing ever since Ronald Regan was appointed.

Please elaborate these specific road blocks and landmines you are referring to?

Where on earth did you get the idea that we're spending trillions on space? NASA is like a single jet program. It's research that has had a pretty big payoff.

Wiki believes the entire history of NASA is less than a trillion dollars. This year's budget is 18 or 19B.

Annual budget, 1958-2009

As seen in the year-by-year breakdown listed below, the total amounts (in nominal dollars) that NASA has been budgeted from 1958 to 2008 amounts to $416 billion dollars—an average of $8.17 billion per year. By way of comparison, total spending over this period by the National Science Foundation was roughly one-fourth of NASA's expenditures: 101.5 billion, or $2.00 billion a year.[2]

According to the Office of Management and Budget and the Air Force Almanac, when measured in real terms (Meaning: if the value of $1.00 at today's rate equaled the value of $1.00 in 1958), the figure is $806.7 billion, or an average of $15.818 billion dollars per year over its fifty year history.
------

Ending the wars in the middle east would be a far more significant improvement in the bottom line.

Kinda weird but i have to agree with Amazon on this one. KBR has made a fortune off us not to mention all the other places that are just banking from doing nothing here. thats why we need to get KBR and most all the other usless companies out of here and the the miitary run there own supply.

I agree and I know that they have made huge profits, but they do employ americans and many have made money from investing through the stock market with them. (including the biggest oponent of capitalism, michael moore, is heavily invested in halliburtin). the problem is not that a company made profits but that people are upset they made profit with tax payer money. This is a problem with congress and niether the reb's nor the dem's have done anything to bid the jobs. the left screams about this but does nothing to stop it. they have controlled congress for 3 years and have not done a thing to stop it why? so if the left has a problem shouldn't they start yelling at their own? or is there not really a big problem? just showing a company making a profit to piss of people and further their agenda?

We used to operate with the idea that we should think about what is going to happen to the next 7 generations because of what we do today ---

I would not want to live here 7 generations from now, hell I feel bad for the next generation already... We are screwing everyone, and nobody seems to give a crap --- they just want everything now.

FGF #???
I miss the sky...
There are 10 types of people in the world... those who understand binary and those who don't.
