Tiger woods injured in car accident

Recommended Posts

Tiger Woods is so rich that he owns lots of expensive cars. Now he has a hole in one.

What's the difference between a car and a golf ball? Tiger can drive a ball 400 yards.

Tiger Woods wasn't seriously injured in the crash, but he's still below par.

What were Tiger Woods and his wife doing out at 2.30 in the morning? They went clubbing

Tiger Woods crashed into a fire hydrant and a tree. He couldn’t decide between a wood and an iron.

The local police did a report and found no EtOH involved. I'm sure they are familiar with the neighborhood. Why in the hell are the FHP crawling up ass?

If we had a classless nation, then Tiger's accident would be no more newsworthy than the accident I got into in 1989, where I nearly totalled my (almost new) Honda CRX.

However, since you do seem to care a great deal about class, Tiger Wood's accident is more important to you - based on your jealousy of his material possessions.

Maybe because the damage to the vehicle and Tiger's injuries are more consistent with a domestic dispute than a simple car crash.

Word on ESPN is that FHP is seeking a warrant to get the doctor's report to try to determine what injuries he sustained.

And I agree with Andy. I wouldn't say anything to the cops either. It looks a lot like his wife went after him. If so, she could be in a good bit of trouble.

Funny they never mentioned whether he was actually given a breathalyzer or blood test for alcohol. I know if any of us plowed into a tree in residential neighborhood that would be SOP.

Not necessarily. AggieDave can answer this best, but AFAIK they take your overall "appearance", including speech, balance (how steady you stand), level of coherence, smell, and probably a bunch of other stuff to evaluate whether or not you might be under the influence.
Then they pull out the "Stupid Human Tricks".

All that is used as probable cause to require a blood/breath test.

I believe he was unconscious for some time after the authorities arrived so I don't know what other factors you're talking about.

BTW, it looks like the authorities are now quietly discussing whether or not to subpoena his test results at the hospital. Should be interesting if they do.

My point is there is no way you or I would be let off the hook in the same circumstances.

I just want to see actual pics of the car, if there are golf club marks all over the body then she was definitely pissed and he was driving away to save his life

hard to believe that his "public statement" was the best that the NIKE PR department and lawyers could create

and the rest of the story is....?
Give one city to the thugs so they can all live together. I vote for Chicago where they have strict gun laws.

Isn't PC well established when you crash into a tree?

Not necessarily for a blood/breath test.

I'm not sure how the procedure is setup for these sorts of things in Florida, I do have a reasonable understanding on how it works in Texas. Also, a PBT is really unreliable for criminal charges, so many don't use it in these sorts of situations. So you're left with the Brethalizer 5000 or a blood draw. To get to those steps an arrest for DWI has to be made. So you establish the PC for a DWI arrest prior to the chemical test having been completed.

A car wrapped around a tree is what people in the business refer to as a clue, but it alone isn't PC. It gives you the ability to detain the driver and determine if a crime (DWI for instance) has been committed. Obviously, that is significantly trumped by taking care of injuries that may have been sustained.

A court order to retrieve blood tests completed at the ER is a safe way to complete the investigation into a possible DWI accident. It allows for the full treatment of any injuries and allows for an investigation. As to the possibility of of a family violence offense, I'm sure that an investigation will be completed.

What can we do until those investigations are complete? Well, we can make jokes...we could even watch a troll try to explain his expertise. Either one is entertaining.

PC for OWI? Not from a simple crash into a tree.

The cops will certainly look at you closely, smell your breath and all that, but if they blood/breath tested everyone who hit a tree, then they wouldn't have time to do anything else.

Somebody else was asking about pics of the accident, it was on TMZ.

Now they are saying that it was a domestic dispute TMZ again

Edit to add: Once again, AggieDave beat me to it:$

I just want to know if he swerved to avoid a squirrel.

I swerve for squirrels.

The only nocturnal squirrels I know of are Flying Squirrels (they actually glide, not fly) but I don't think they live in Florida. Too many SUVs.

Have you noticed that you are one of the most profoundly classist posters in this forum? But at least you can blame it on everyone else, "because it's such a classist nation." :S

Nobody HAS to talk to the police.
That is a personal choice, typically influenced by one's attorney.

Correct. I think any responsible attorney for Woods right now would advise him to STFU.

Yep, take the ticket, pay it AND QUIT FUCKING AROUND YOUR FINE-ASS WIFE. What a loser, has a hot wife and ALLEGEDLY is fucking something else.

No, my rub on this nation is that if you can put a ball in a hole 270 yards away in 3 strokes, you're awesome, 2 strokes brilliant, 1 stroke a god. However, volunteer at the shelter, raise kids right while in poverty, ect and you're a loser. This nation is such a turd when it comes to its value ssytem. Call it jealousy if you wish, it's not about Tiger, it's about the corrupt system. So these people make a living off their worthless skills, the media is all over them when it feels good, their there when it doesn't; too bad.

Which is my point. Classism = privilege. I don;t care if it's golf, baseball, basketball, football, etc, measuring people by skills that don't benefit society the way we do is BS. Olympians are one thing, pro sports, actors, etc = whores sucking millions for benefiting society in no way.
