Belgian_Draft 0 #101 December 15, 2009 So why the difference between an AQ fighter who is fighting for what he believes is a just cause (regardless of whether we agree with him) and a serial murderer who kills just for the fun of it?HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit. After they've been to your sex crime island, they may not want to be alive. Executions aren't the only irreversible punishments. That's the point you're missing, or evading. Dna is a bitch.... and those convicted of sex crimes have been proven to be the very highest of recidivists.... No amount of "counselling" seems to work to rehabilitate them. If they earned their way onto the plane... than that is no longer anyones problem but themselves. At that point they have usually adversely affected the lives of several or more victims.. as well as any family those victims may have in the future. Why allow them to reproduce and affect even more people in our society. I just dont want to kill them. I wish them to live a VERY long and interesting life.. as the chinese might say. DNA fingerprinting has a very low rate of false positives if done properly. Unfortunately the same can't be said of the laboratory technicians who do the testing. There are a bunch of cases of false ID by DNA leading to convictions (Google "Timothy Durham false conviction" for one example) that turned out to be lab error, such as mixing specimens, testing the wrong specimen, incorrect analysis of the results, etc.... I am good with that. We can work on the rest of the people of the world that wish to harm us on a case by case basis later as needed.

Guaranteed life, no unending appeals, no parole, solitary confinement as you said before...I'm good with that. Well, that's something we agree on. Altogether too many cases of flawed eyewitness testimony, crime lab errors, crime lab misconduct, coerced confessions, prosecutorial misconduct, false confessions due to mental illness, "expert" witness errors, etc, to ever feel confident about killing someone in the name of the people.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
