The TSA publicly claim they want to be unpredictable yet every time something happens they react with the exact mindless knee-jerk "punish everyone" behavior you'd expect. Whats next... shackles on the seats and you have to ask permission of the flight crew to go piss? The airlines have become a test lab for every psycho control fantasy ever dreamed of by every authoritarian bureaucrat. I wonder how much it will take before people just refuse to fly? Its like one of those inescapable stress tests for lab rats. Complaining, arguing with the flight crew or refusing to submit to anything they decide they have to do to you for "security" just lands you on their shit list. So, good luck with your book and if you do attempt any resistance, let us know how it goes. If you actually try to tell them to fuck off if they try to stop you from reading a book, I'd give you even odds of being met with a heavy police response on landing and/or you wind up being interrogated in a little white room somewhere for a few hours to teach you a lesson. Maybe wind up on the no-fly list or at least their watch list. Any way it turns out, if you manifest the slightest resistance or anger, you are probably signing yourself up for punishment in a big way and will get to enjoy the full blown deluxe police state experience.
