FlyingJ 0 #1 January 6, 2010 I sat down and read through a variety of news stories this morning, local, US, International, etc. Out of 10 articles, 8 of them quoted a source who "talked in exchange for anonymity because they were not cleared to discuss the issue." They why the %#^$ are they talking about it!!! This was everything from a local cop to representatives of the CIA. What is the point of confidential information if nobody can keep their mouth shut? Anyway, I know our current state of "journalism" would be lost without people willing to open the floodgates to the first person that asks them to, but I just get frustrated wondering where the line really is.Killing threads since 2004. FlyingJ 0 #3 January 6, 2010 True enough, but I HIGHLY doubt every person spouting out their opinion about confidential stuff is doing so on behalf of an organization intending it to happen.Killing threads since 2004.
