jtnesbitt 0 #5 February 4, 2010 Rest assured Darius i found it hysterical. I used to travel to Texas between every other week and every third week and found Texas pride to be amusing. You could make ANY statement...i mean ANYTHING...and someone would somehow find a way to make it about Texas and top it. "Wow this steak is good" "Of course it is it's from Texas" "Wow gas is getting expensive" "Good thing it's always cheaper in Texas" "Damn that girl is hot!" "Not as hot at the ones in Texas!" "Once a month you will bleed from your vagina" "Mmm, nothin in the world like menstrual blood from Texas!""If this post needs to be moderated I would prefer it to be completly removed and not edited and butchered into a disney movie" - DorkZone Hero

Did you even watch the video? "Mr Way to Proud of Texas Guy" is the name of the commercial/promo. Any idea or comment that his post was about you (as your link to the rule about targeting an individual indicates) then you came up with that all on your own. Some would call this a guilty conscience "If this post needs to be moderated I would prefer it to be completly removed and not edited and butchered into a disney movie" - DorkZone Hero

I have yet to set foot in Texas (I understand everything is bigger there, including the egos). But I have lived in 5 major metropolitan areas of North America as an adult and I have yet to live in an area that did not think they were the cat's meow, that thought they were the best place on this planet. It's funny how all these cities/metropolitan areas think they are the best and every other place sucks. It kind of reminds me of all those drivers out there, you know the one's who think they are superior drivers while they say everyone else is a moron. LOL I know of the 5 areas I have lived as an adult I do have a favorite. But there is so much more of the world I have yet to experience. So I will refrain from the nonsense of calling one place "the best in the world". PS: I will have to wait until this evening before I can watch this YouTube video. YouTube is blocked here on this box I am using right now. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

AggieDave 6 #14 February 4, 2010 I've always found that commercial really funny! There are a lot of us that are proud of Texas' history, where the state stands now and the future outlook; however, its easy to find "that guy" as well. The best place to find "that guy" is at a festival like Chilifest. --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Andy9o8 2 #21 February 5, 2010 "Mr. Way Too Proud of Texas Guy" is no more a single person on Dorkzone than "Mr. Gun Nut" is, or "Mr. Gun-o-Phobe" is. For that matter, it's not a PA against any one particular Dorkzoner to refer to "Liberal, Commie, pinko, tree-hugging, Tax-n-spend quiche-eating, faggot sandal wearers" or "Crypto-fascist, dick-swinging, race-baiting, goose-stepping, goat-fuck stupid Nazi wannabes", either. In fact, I've compiled an exhaustive list of all Dorkzoners who do not fall into any of the aforementioned descriptions: 1. Grannyinthesky. That's about it.
