Cherokee pilot suicide note

Recommended Posts

Read it earlier today. The guy sees himself as a martyr and was hoping to get the body count as high as possible.

I understand his mental anguish and in a lot of ways it mirrors some of my own, but ramming an airplane into a building is simply not the way to bring about change. Hoping to kill innocent people is not going to give anyone (or at least not me) any sympathy for your cause.

I think the guy was a fucking idiot for doing what he did.

If one's problem is with the government, and one has decided that violence is their best option, a government facility housing government workers is the only logical target for exercising that option.

There may come a time when suicide missions are effective, but in my opinion, he should have gone with a non-violent route. That said, reading between the lines, I suspect he knew this was the easiest way to get the biggest audience for his message.

He missed the point of the United States and the peaceful transfer of power granted by The People.

The only problem with our current system is The People are frequently influenced in ways that makes them work against their own best interests. The People have given far too much power to the representatives who have been bought by corporate interests via lobbying groups. In other words, we've done this to ourselves.

Innocent people working in offices, trying to earn a living, pay the bills and take care of their families aren't the issue.

Vote every member of Congress out if you want to.
Vote out the President.
I sort of wish there was a way to reset the members of the Supreme Court but that's not provided in the Constitution.

Flying a plane into that office building does nothing positive. In fact, it only wastes Government money and causes suffering for those that don't deserve the it. Nobody in that building was responsible for anything wrong in that sad individual's life.

His words are very true and I'm surprised the letter wasn't covered up/destroyed because of it. Drastic times and circumstances do call for drastic measures..I wonder how little time will pass before this tragedy is forgotten and everybody is back on the gov't koolaid.

Thou he was a true patriot, trying to protect us from the socialist in the IRS.Dude apparently didn't have enough: Muslims, Jews, Thermate/mite/mation, mysteriously reinforced areas, holographic missiles, CIA officers, connections to a country other than the one where the attackers hailed and the mission carried. brave passengers and inaction by the government to get the job done properly. This country really is going to hell.

>I suspect he knew this was the easiest way to get the biggest audience for his message.

Well, it worked, although his message is fairly contradictory.

"Why are taxes so high?"
"Why didn't the government take care of my neighbor?"
"Damn government closed all those military bases!"

>His words are very true . . .

His words are the rantings of someone who wanted more than he was willing to work for and needed someone else to blame. There are a lot of them out there. "It's not my fault I'm a loser - someone else is responsible! It's the government/the socialists/Bush/Obama/the IRS!"

How long until the 911 Truthers find some way to blame this on the government.
Why didn't THIS building collapse? Hmmmmm???
Where are the videos and pictures of the plane flying into the building? Hmmmm???
It is quite obvious there is some sort of coverup here.

You infer it's due to Obama / Dems. Pathetic thing is, 2/3 of teh debt was accrued under Reagan, Bush, Bush, far larger % if you factor in that Clinton accrued 1.6T fixing the mess and left it stable and very +, the nutters somehow think it was the Dems who are spending too much. Really pathetic.

- I like his reference to the post-911 airline bailout that didn't require the fascist gov or corps to continue to employ the folks, just fuck em.

- +But violence is not only the answer, it is the only answer."

Wrong. MLK established that it is the wrong answer and achieved change w/o it.

Other than the violence part, he is exactly right, just as Timothy McVeigh was right in his words, 100% wrong in his actions. I expected a teabagger clone before i read this, but after reading, he is right in his beliefs, but over the edge with his act.

America is a fascist toilet, the rich have it mae, the poor are fucked. It is what it is, it won't change so accept it or leave; I hoe to leave.

No surprise he was named after a disciple of Christ; after all, Christians have a long history of violence against authority. Why the deafening silence from the Christians? Why aren't they condemning this? Do they condone the use of terror? Why don't they stop criticizing others until they can police their own?

I saw a report how people in a store in a predominantly Christian area were telling jokes about this. Until Christians stop condoning terror, and indeed even joking about it, they can't be trusted.

Wrong. MLK established that sometimes there's a better answer. There's a major difference there. Unfortunately, it does sometimes boil down to simply choosing what you perceive to be the lesser evil and then hoping to all that you believe in that you made the right choice.

In this case though I think it's pretty clear that he made the wrong choice.

6 page pdf ranting on IRS and other stuff

Obviously, we need legislation to restrict the private ownership of aircraft. At a minimum, there needs to be a waiting period before purchasing. A background check must be made to verify mental stability or evidence of a criminal record. EAA Fly-Ins must be regulated to halt the private sale of aircraft. There are too many deaths from the unauthorized use of aircraft as missiles. The manufacturers must be held accountable and made liable. Aircraft must be taken off the airports.
