And Obama just signed yesterday a one year extension of the Patriot Act

if we falter and lose our freedoms,
it will be because we destroyed ourselves."

Just a small point, you don't actually get to do that for a few years.

Other than this is just another thread that highlights how the two parties have ZERO substantive difference in application of what they try to tell us are different philosophies - and thus the conclusion to try something else............ that's a great point:S

another response might be:

you mean there are no Libertarians running for Congress in Nov?
or locally in his area?
or for even dog catcher?

.....except that a shallow look at this thread shows it's about the presidency - though a deeper look really shows it's about when the exec and legis branches are controlled by a single party and how that combination really screws things up - dem vs rep in this case is just a matter of degree

...
Driving is a one dimensional activity - a monkey can do it - being proud of your driving abilities is like being proud of being able to put on pants

And exactly WHO would that be anyway?

Bob Barr was the libertarian candidate for president in the last election.....

And Ron Paul was a libertarian who ran under the Republican flag

I'm from Ohio and there's someone running for governor, 5 people running for State representative, and 4 people running for US representative
