If people are not concerned about the soaring public debt, then they are either just complacent sleeping at the wheel or they are in favor of this rising debt and how it will ensure the slavery of future generations.
Obama is not solely responsible here. Previous US administrations have definitely added to the debt levels of the USA. But Obama's debt in one year has dwarfed what previous governments have done. If this trend continues (and we know it will) for 3 - 7 more years Obama will go down in the history books like no other president has. I am sorry if you are not concerned about Obama's spending, then well ... LOL ... who am I kidding we already know you like being called comrade. But this is not the line for food, this is the line for shoes. The food line starts over there.

Saw a headline about student protests at Berkley and thought, finally, college students are getting a social conscious about the war, about neglecting our needy, about FOX News maybe, but no, when I read the article they were just protesting against higher tuition fees. 
Where's the Black Panthers and Weatherman when you need them. Where's this generation's Mohamed Ali, "I'm a black man with no beef against the yellow man." (I suppose his taking the name "Mohamed" would frighten today's tea baggers to death.) Where's our new John Lennon? Where's the new left wing radicals?
