Airline considers fee for lavatory use

Fees for carry on bags, now for using the toilet? Its time we taught the airlines a lesson.

A friend suggested a carry on bag with some road kill. Just leave it. Any other suggestions?

Uh . . . combine the carry on issue with the issue you brought up in the thread title. Leave THAT.

A few wet seats should fix that problem.

How do you propose to get it thru security?

I won't do it, but it just might make it through if its wrapped in a towel or something. If they find it, it just gets thrown in the garbage.

That; plus I wouldn't count on necessarily making your scheduled flight.

Well, then better join the mile-high club in there to make it worth it.

Naw, I have serviced, removed, repaired those shitters all the way from the tank that you sit on to the lines to the main shit-tank in the belly and all I have to say is that for flights 2 hrs or less, shut em down. It's a lot of system to fascilitate idiots who can't remember to piss/shit b4 they board.

As for charging, that's even more idiotic. What if a person doesn't have the money? They shit in their seat? Yea, that's better.

Oh yeah that will teach them. :S

How about you just not fly the company that does this stuff? Weird I know. But people wont do that. Whatever the cheapest fare is is the one you book. Then you bitch about the service. You get what you pay for.

RyanAir has a reputation in the industry for doing some sneaky shit. Yeah you just got a $30 ticket. Checked bag? $50. Carry on? Oh thats some more dough. You want to use check in online? Pay up sucka. You need to call a rep to change a flight? Good luck. Hell RyanAir once had to divert to a different airport due to weather and just left everyone to fend for themselves. Like I said you get what you pay for.

Spirit in the US this week just said they will start charging for carry on's. People will bitch moan and complain all the way to the bank and then book with them when they see they can save $2 on a roundtrip ticket.
If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!

Yes, that's how it usually goes.

They tack on all the extra fees because then the "ticket" price is the cheapest on the online booking sites. That's how most people looking for cheap fares buy.

Any airline that is truthful and posts how much the flight is going to cost as the ticket price loses sales pretty fast to the "low" ticket price carriers.

Flying used to be fun. It used to be an event. It used to be one of the most exciting parts of the family vacation, when I was younger. Now, it's just a pain. All the service is gone from the industry. They will say it's because of skyrocketing costs, we will say it's so the companies can make a buck, and both parties are probably right. We're reaching the point where we're just cargo, not human beings. Every time they start charging for something that used to be free, they make it painfully clear. IMO, they really should just start charging by the pound. You, your checked bags, your carry-on, the whole shebang: get on the scale, pay so much per pound. If you want to pack heavy, pay the price. If you go light, you don't get hit as hard in the wallet.

If you weigh more than so much (without your stuff, just you) then you automatically get two seats, because if you weigh that much then you're pretty much paying for it anyhow.

Plus, that'll encourage people to shit/piss before getting weighed, so it will help deal with the OP's original issue. :P

Those sites need to add in those fees to the fare prices so one can do a true compare.

I've noticed airlines seem to have stop charging for non alcoholic drinks as everyone just bought them before they came on the plane.

With the added fees for luggage and now even carryon, it may be cheaper soon to just ship your luggage. :S

Spirit was the first to charge for checked bags. I hope them charging for carry on doesn't spread as well. [:/]

I suspect it won't go over very well, and making boarding even uglier than when the baggage fees came.

As for the bathrooms, it is quite important to note that it's common in much of Europe to pay to use the bathroom - can be up to half euro. Bugs the hell out of me, and I really don't want to be on one of these flights with a single charging restroom when there is more than a handful of sick (flu, cold, or stomach flu) passengers.

And think of the fun if they have one of those sitting on the runway for 6 hour experiences.

Ryanair sells extremely cheap flights. Bottom line is you get what you pay for. I read an interview with Ryanair's CEO and he basically said the same thing. Which I happen to agree with. It's like going to MacDonalds and expecting to be treated like you're at Morton's. If you're not happy with Ryanair buy your ticket somewhere else.

McDonald's has bathrooms. This is basic service, not premium.

Well, have to modify that slightly. In Germany, the bathroom behind it charged me half a euro.

Damn straight! Why, recently, I was flying on a Brasilia with a regional carrier - and they didn't even HAVE a lavatory! Next time this abomination happens to you, I strongly suggest you poop on a magazine and throw it at the pilot. That's the appropriate way to handle such things.

Brasilia? Don't they usually have farm animals on board? Just piss or shit where they do. :P

Y'know what? They really don't.

They used to, but these days they've gone so crazy with the add-ons and surcharges that several competitors with much higher headline prices, better service and better reliability are also as cheap or cheaper when everything gets added up and put on the CC.

the costs of administering all of the add on fees can quickly add up, resulting in a more expensive, as well as annoying, service.
