They see they got a $50 ticket then bitch all day about the service then go crazy when they get boned with all the add on's. I keep saying you get what you pay for.If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!

Crappy policies can work to sell to those who fly once or twice a year and are easily fooled by the base price, but like tandems, it's difficult to run a business that relies mostly on such customers. Southwest gets it in so many ways.
Rookie120 0 #28 April 9, 2010 QuoteSouthwest gets it in so many ways. Yeah in some ways. After seeing there financial reports for the last few quarters I wonder how much longer they will let bags fly for free. Thats a lot of revenue that everyone else is collecting that they are not. It comes down at the end to making money. If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!

They used to, but these days they've gone so crazy with the add-ons and surcharges that several competitors with much higher headline prices, better service and better reliability are also as cheap or cheaper when everything gets added up and put on the CC. the costs of administering all of the add on fees can quickly add up, resulting in a more expensive, as well as annoying, service. No, it's the beds and blowjobs Ryan instituted.
