Believe what will happen?

What did you suggest to wait for?

A massive star to collapse?

Yep, you pretty much just got to wait.

Because you "Believe" it will happen.

If you wait long enough, that's quite often what massive stars do, yes. there are quite a few of them out there for us to watch, you know, at many different points along their lifespans.

Talking of points, do you have one? Do you even know what you're getting at?
Do you want to have an ideagasm?

Yes.
You believe we have to wait to have something that large proven.

What you don't realize is that God is so much bigger than just one massive star, that waiting for proof of something on His scale, just because you want it, is tantamount to wishing that a grain of sand were the size of a galaxy cluster.

Question: Will the sun ever burn out and if it will do you know when it will?
Mike

Answer: Yup. About 5 billion years from now, according to our best theories of the way stars get older. The first thing it will do is expand the outer surface of the star, probably to close to the earth's orbit, which will be pretty much the end of things here.

So - theories are science.

I have a theory that God exists.

Where on earth did I say that?

You asked how to collapse a massive star, I gave you the answer. I'm not sure what else it is you think I meant by that.

>So how do you collapse a very massive star?

Well, you might be able to hasten it along through extraordinary measures (which are quite far beyond us at this point) but the easier thing to do is to find a star that's about to collapse and just watch it. We see gamma ray bursts from such events (collapsars) pretty regularly, but so far have not been close enough to see one with visible light. This is partly a good thing, since a collapsar happening even 100 lightyears away would probably kill off all life on Earth.

What factual evidence do you have to support this theory. ;)

Do you not find it a bit coincidental, that of all the spiritual concepts that you tested, you choose Christianity? Out of all of the many choices you have, you choose the religion that is very likely the one that you were raised with. For lack of a better word, you were indoctrinated with Christianity, and so, like the vast majority of people around the world, you have the same superstitions of your parents.

That is true for religion. I am not religious and I usually agree with most of the atheists on here concerning religious activity. A personal dynamic relationship with God is a transforming edifying experience that grows form within. Religion is something that is imposed from without. I do not practice the religion that I was raised in.

>What are the processes that it takes to accomplish that?

Well, one way to create a very small one is to collide two massive particles at very very very high speeds. The LHC _might_ have the energy to do that but probably not. Another way is the collapse of a very massive star.

So how do you collapse a very massive star?

Carefully.
...

The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.

Then again, why the agro? I said something that you agree with, and yet, even though you agreed with me, you went out of your way to reply to me

Ok...I'm back from a much appreciated several day adrenaline rush...(I thought maybe I ran out...:o...phew!)

....so don't give me any of you're "tick tock" bull stock.

...but there was no agro dude.(nice word btw)

At first I thought maybe you were projecting, but I can't be sure...If I wanted to aggravate you, I'm sure I could...I just try not to choose to use my fleshly gift, if you get my drift.

I simply used your post as an opportunity to say that there is no proof, but only faith. (something I have advocated in the past...)

But, I already knew what you thought of faith (from previous post), so I spared you from wasting your time by posting something similar to what Winsor posted....maybe that's what pissed you off...perhaps that alowed him to steal your "thunder?"

Of course I'm being somewhat facetious, but let's get one thing str8 buddy...on the whole, I don't agree with you, and that distiction needed to be made absolutely clear...get it?;)

Quote

You can't just go around saying "There is no proof, you just have to have faith... but here are examples of god messing around with people's lives that i think are proof"

First of all, quit telling me what I can and cannot do...who are you? I have my suspiscions, and if I'm correct, perhaps I should "have some courtesy, have some sympathy and taste"....just let me know.;)

anyway...when did your standards of scientific proof get so loose to consider what I think is "poof" to actually be proof?

Futhermore, when have I ever used the word "proof" when giving my personal testimony...didn't it all ultimately require faith to believe...was that not assumed?:S

Even futher yet, we already discussed what it takes to "obtain" faith...through the Word of God, not what I have to say about it...remember?

I also said in previous posts in years past that maybe instead of having to see to believe, believe and you'd see, but we already know what you think about that...correct?

...and that's from which I'm trying to spare us...our circular, redundant arguments...do we really have to go through all the prerequisites again?

Which God would that be?

The God who created the Heavens and the Earth of course....who else?

The same God that controls your precious particals that apparently created themselves.;)

btw...that's not to be considered proof...just a sugestion.

....based on faith.:P

We'll let your hearts decide...

Not to worry, I have faith that you will forge ahead without the hint of understanding.

That's the problem...have you ever considered that I'm trying to forget?

Not a chance - that would suggest that you ever had a clue.

Uh, dude, I haven't. And since it's been a week already I think you know that it was highly unlikely that I was about to start now.

You're wrong on two counts there - the first is a mistake, the second is a lie.

Thank you for proving my point. I said something you agreed with, and you jumped in from nowhere with something you thought I would have a problem with (your exact words) simply because you have a problem with me because we usually disagree.

Kinda sad, dude, you should really just let it go.

no...you assume too much.

may that never be.

I was simply suggesting that you get to know someone before you tell them who they are....especially when you can't even explain what it is they are to understand.
