Did Bush Jr just admit to committing war crimes?

Recommended Posts

Well we have CERTAINLY lost the moral highground we used to have the last time we were off killing thousands of chinese and they were torturing our GI's.

Have you noticed that to. The last time we won a war, we fought to win it, what ever it took. Now we see how long we can string it out and worry about what the terrorists think and if they are offended.

Kaffee: W, did you order the waterboarding?!

Judge: You don't have to answer that question--

George: I'll answer the question. You want answers?

Kaffee: I think I'm entitled.

George: You want answers?!

Kaffee: I want the truth!

George: You can't handle the truth! Son, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with water. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lieutenant Weinberg? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom! You weep for Mohammed and you curse the US. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know: that Mohammed's waterboarding, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives! You don't want the truth, because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that spigot! You need me on that spigot! We use words like "gurgle", "cough", "choke". We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline! I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it! I would rather you just said "Thank you," and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a hose, and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to!

Kaffee: Did you order the waterboarding?

George: I did the job that—-

Kaffee: Did you order the waterboarding?!

George: You're goddamn right I did!!

And those are the words of a True Man. Damn I wish we had more like em. Give me a HOSE, I'll make dem terrist bastards talk.:P

"OB, get the hell out of the way, your doing it all wrong. Get, now...and take that damn teleprompter with ya. Hey don't walk off with the hose...WHAT? your going home and taking the beer with ya." "Well then go on home, no body likes playing with ya any way."

Oh, so you like war crimes? Hey, it was pretty cool when, after Hiro Hito surrendered that many US servicemen in Japanese prisons were murdered, huh? Damn right, wish they had more Japanese solders doing it, right? See, when one side acts like assholes, the other side(s) do too. Rules are rules, if you have to ask if it's torture, it obviously is.

"Yeah, we waterboarded Khalid Sheikh Mohammed," Bush told a Grand Rapids audience Wednesday, of the self-professed 9/11 mastermind. "I'd do it again to save lives."

Seems an odd thing to admit to, considering the gravity of the statement [:/]

fair enough I say ;)

This is funny. That's what this is.

The CIA has been waterboarding, and much worse, for years now. During the height of the cold war they did things that make waterboarding look like tiddly winks. It spans many administrations. None are lilly white. The Bush haters who just want to pin this to GW are a bunch of fucking morons.
The forecast is mostly sunny with occasional beer.

It takes a real man to make that statement... one that's not just out for himself and worried about his "image".

This thread is going to be worthless and full of crap. There will be no sensible arguments over his character, as too many can't see past their personal hate for him.

You have evidence of what the CIA has been doing during the cold-war years? Or is that just speculation?

OTOH, Bush freely admitted what was done under his administration. And it is definitely against international convention.
