Is this Disturbing or Funny?

Recommended Posts

I was fully prepared for it to be "the joke" and was surprised at the direction it was going in the first half. At that point I was thinking to myself, ok, these guys have found a new take on it, cool. Then, it devolves into "the joke".

Sigh.

They were so close to actually being funny.

As for a definitive telling of the joke, I've never been able to make up my mind between Gottfried or Saget.

I waited for some funny punch line that never came.

Have you never heard of "the joke" before? "The Aristocrats"?

If you don't know "the joke" that's sort of the entire point of it. It's not about the punchline, it's about how you get there. It's sort of a back stage in-joke with comedians and not anything an actual comedian would perform on-stage. It's never been about the punch line, it's all about how your on stage character as a comic would go about telling it. You can do "the joke" for other comics, but just telling it to normal people is kind of pointless, although as we can see, some try.

That's why for a few moments at the very beginning of this I thought these guys had it figured out and was doing a joke about the joke, but in the end, I don't think they really understood it.

Oh, absolutely Saget for me . That cute-puppy look he has just makes it perfect.

I mean -- you expect that kind of thing from Gilbert Gottfried, but Bob Saget used to show movies of cute children :D

Crap. Talentless crap.... Trying so hard to shock and still failing. The most disturbing thing was the way the man in the suit used his fork like a total retard. Why is it that so many people in North America have no idea how to use a knife and fork?
When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy.
