Sorry Shah, don't know about the divorce situation. I'm guessing you are going through one, in which case I'm sorry to hear that.

It's ok brother.
I know I'm a bit of an ass here....but in real life and you can ask the people at my DZ I really do believe in flying clear.
And so though I may say rude things about + sized girls in "the world of the real" I my best to help every one out. Even + sized ladies.
It's just how my grandmother raised me. The Zorastrian way of doing good to help the universe into the light.
And this divorce brother......like getting hit by a train!
There I was totally madly in love with my wife who all of a sudden stopped treating me like her husband and more as her butler to the point where I started skydiving to remind her...hey i could be dead tomorrow....only to have her ask for a divorce when I asked that we seek help.
And this is a women for whome I would have and had done anything and every thing.....maybe one day I'll tell you guys how I fought the US embassy to get her a visa when they rejected her based on me being Persian.
So when this all hit....I just stopped. I looked up and I looked down and said...."What? Why? I help all those I can help and you.....Karma....take away the love of my life?" [:/]Of which only 6 months before I had just shattered my leg in a hard landing? [:/]So for a few months now I've been questioning Karma. Not that I deserve anything but why hit me?
And like that!
So I don't know. I guess I could give up on it and be an ass in real life as I am toward + sized girls online....but that's not me. But then again...maybe ME is what needs to be chainged to fit this new reality?

Ok, you started skydiving to show your wife that you might not be around tomorrow.

Then you broke your leg?

Hmmm... I may need to start believing in karma.

Yep.

Been bitch smacked by it for doing things I knew I shouldn't.

I think it's got a perfect record on me.

Another reason I try to be nice, to avoid the consequences. ;)

Darling this is a thread about Karma, should you be pissing into the wind?

I started to skydive to rid my soul of some major frustration to clear my head.
In hind sight some therapy and couples counseling would have probably worked better and I would be a few grams lighter and with out the rod.

so again, i ask this is a thread about karma, should you be pouring salt into open wounds when you are tempting a universal constant?

Please introduce yourself should we ever meet.

I don't want to skydive with you as I'm quite concerned about your mindset regarding the reasons for jumping.
I take life significantly more serious than you seem too.

I'm very honestly concerned with you man. Really.

You gotta let go of some demons maybe?

You're almost threatening someone with karma. Quite undeserving.
Given your previous post about those around you that have done you wrong getting karma served upon them is now almost disturbing.

Please tell me I am seriously misinterpreting your meaning.

If you broke your leg landing a student canopy it's because you flared like a twat, not because karma's out to get you. If you accept that, you can learn from your mistakes, avoid making them again and have a high chance of remaining injury free - or you can decide that it was all the work of some wierd cosmic shite, ignore what you actually did wrong, do the same thing again and lie there wondering why karma's still got it in for you.

The elementary charge is a constant. The speed of light is a constant. Pi is a constant. Karma is imaginary. You might as well worry about tempting Santa Claus.

Look all I'm saying is don't piss into peoples open wounds.
Not only is it rude but bad karma.

Read it how you will. I pointed it out....are you pouring salt into some ones open wounds? Check?
Is it right thing to do? Most likely not.
Is it bad karma? Yeah i would think so.
Would I do that to anyone? No.
Why? Simple my mom raised me the right way.
I would say, as was posted before, "sorry to hear about that life can suck hope things get better."

As for why I skydive? The same reason I ride and practice Yoga. To clear my head. Even if it is for a min at a time. And it's gorgeous. And I do my best to fly clear.
And the best way to do that? 1) don't pour salt into others open wounds. 2) Smile, life can suck but it can also be beautiful. 3) Hug your friends and family often.

Can't really talk about this one.....but.....it was not the flare that got me.

As for the constant I was talking about, it was gravity.
That pesky thing that keeps our bones glued to the ground.

As for me? I'll put my money on Karma. What's the worst that happens? A few people have a good day?

And now that I've started, if this 'karma' bollocks is really making you look at where you might be going wrong in life, have you tried being less overwhelmingly narcissistic?

A yoga woman says something nasty to you and now her dogs are dying - what did her dogs ever do? A co-worker climbs over you on the career ladder and his wife becomes seriously ill - what did his wife do to deserve it?

You think that you're so important that 'karma' has become like the terrorists in Patriot Games, it's going after people's families for you?

I don't know.....i don't like it. [:/]
Maybe it's just odds? I hope so.
Most likely it's all in my head.
I do feel bad for the woman, as mean as she was...how can any one be mean in a Yoga class is beyond me.....she did not deserve to have her poor dogs, both of them, suddenly develop cancer.
As for that other guy, he had it coming. A true punch up kick down kind of guy. But that's not for me to think about. Yet I do feel bad for his wife.

Yes you are but god that was funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know this guy......better yet I KNEW THIS GUY...young guy. Started to work for the feds right out of school. Usual crap pay of $36k. Had a cute girlfriend who he met while at university. She wanted to tie the knot but the boy was scared due to the low pay, knew she was a catch but was worried he could not be the man he needed to be...as in pay the bills and all that jazz.
Long story short she dumped him. Poor kid didn't even see it coming.
That was three years ago.
I saw him last month. His X that i remember was about a size 6 his new fiance is a size 16. I figure if she's three times the size of the X that's about 10 sizes? Girls got more chins than a Chinese phone book seeing her get in and out of her VW Bug makes you feel bad for the suspension and if the engineers accounted for such a mass to be on one side of a car while it was in motion.
Long story short the kid was and is a good kid. Worked hard never stabbed any on in the back and did all kinds of charity stuff. And this is what the universe gave him?
And yes "she is such a nice person....." which by coincidence were the same words he laid on me when i first met her.
Poor kid.....he's a great guy, takes care of himself, dresses well, does charity runs and the like......and now he has this ball, accurately describes her shape, and chain around his neck.
Maybe Karma isn't all that it's cracked up to be?
