JohnRich 4 #1 August 27, 2010 News:Scottsdale restaurant's ad gets attention from city officials The owners of Stingray Sushi say its restaurant ad that has people talking is just a catchy cartoon, but some say it’s too much for you to see. “She’s a young, hip, edgy double secret agent,” said Bryan Chittenden, about Zusi Sushi, the restaurant’s mascot. Zusi is already up in plain sight at a Phoenix intersection at 40th Street and Indian School Road. But the City of Phoenix turned her down when the owners tried to post an image of her at a bus stop. The Japanime character is wearing a miniskirt that reveals her underwear, and is holding guns in both hands. “Kids will see this, that's a bad thing,” said Oliver Ware, a passerby who saw the image. “Hot chicks with guns? That's a no-no.”...Source: http://www.abc15.com/dpp/news/region_northeast_valley/scottsdale/scottsdale-restaurant's-ad-gets-attention-from-city-officials#

billvon 3,009 #3 August 27, 2010 To use your reasoning from a different thread - They use a picture of guns in an area known for gun crime? A picture of a little girl carrying guns in a city where two little kids were recently shot to death in their home? How do they think a woman who has had a daughter killed by gun violence will feel about that poster? Doesn't sound like they're trying very hard to "live peacefully" with their neighbors. Sounds like they aren't even willing to compromise and move the posters - yet gun nuts everywhere insist that Americans bend over backwards to accommodate THEIR desire for gun anime porn in places where children have been shot to death. JohnRich 4 #6 August 27, 2010 Perhaps John is disgusted with all the venom and hate that fills this forum lately. Perhaps he's also tired of all the incorrect assumptions and insults. And all of this happens in a thread that should have made for some good-mannered humor. That's a sign of how far things have sunk here. Now it's time for everyone to pile-on with more of the same. And take a good hard look in the mirror and see if you like what you've become here. For those of you who keep promoting the myth that I'm against the NYC mosque and therefore against the Constitution, please review message #46, here: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3933788;#3933788 You may now proceed unabated with your usual fictions and bashing. I happen to understand the reaction >of those traumatized by it. Agreed on both points. However, understanding someone's feeling is not the same as agreeing with them. It might be understandable that a man who was robbed by a mostly black gang now dislikes blacks. It might even be understandable that he does not want blacks to live in his neighborhood because of this. I would just disagree with his reasoning. So as you would say- Sounds like they aren't even willing to compromise and move the Mosque - yet liberals everywhere insist that Americans bend over backwards to accommodate THEIR desire for mosques in places where children have been murdered by Muslim terrosists."There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. You guys have at it. Coming from you, after your anti-Constitutional, America hating posts in other threads, this is truly funny. I am VERY tired of the hatred and venom coming from people who have ZERO respect for those who follow other religions and want to abrogate their rights. Those who would use "majority rules" to deny folks their Constitutional are getting back a taste of what they give out. It sucks to be on the receiving end of it, instead of on the giving end, doesn't it? Think about that next time you want to start spewing RWC hatred and talking points. Yep. And we're back to John's original argument. (My reply to him was satire, based on the foolish presumption that people who build mosques - or billboards, or gun stores, or churches - should not do so unless no one's feelings are hurt, and they are perfectly politically correct.) BTW here's John's original post on the mosque thing: ========= they're not sensitive to the feelings of New Yorkers about the location. And they're not sensitive to the feelings of Americans about the connotations of the name "Cordoba". It doesn't sound like they're trying real hard to get along peacefully. Meanwhile, muslims everywhere INSIST that Americans bend over backwards to accommodate THEIR cultural sensitivities. ========

America = Bad Christian = Bad Muslim = Good Terrorism = Bowed Down to encouraged and accepted Get used to it! Quit trying to rock the boat! You really don't get what the issue is about, do you? No one is doing anything like what you write. What you write is directly from the RWC media machine. It is NOT original thought on your part. You are just repeating what you have heard and read, which you really don't seem to understand to any great degree. You might want to read the US Constitution, the bill of Rights, and some third party analysis of the documents as to what they really mean. If you had, you would understand why DEFENDING the US Constitution is what BillVon, myself, Amazon, et al, are doing. You are doing exactly the opposite. That does not garner any respect at all. Quite the contrary.
