doughboyshred 0 #2 October 1, 2010 Maybe if he didn't have SIX kids he could have afforded to pay his share of his employer provided health care. Essentially he is expecting the tax payers of the state to pay for his health care so he can pay for his kids, which he shouldn't have had in the first place. I agree that brewer is a piece of scum, but if this guy wasn't intent on doing his part to overpopulate the planet, maybe he would have been able to afford his own insurance instead of counting on the government to take care of him. SIX freaking kids. I wonder what other government subsidies his family relies on.

At the same tome, it is what it is and do we need to put money before people? WHat if he had 2 kids and a crappy job w/o insurance? What if he had ins but lost it with his job? There are lots of responsible people on ACCESS, just poor. This is just one case and how will his kids grow up w/o a dad? Maybe as criminals? Disorganized, incomplete? At the same time, I'm sure teh military will use the kids in some proxy war, so we will get bang for our buck; it isn't the rich kids going to war. Why does it take the obvious to do the obvious? this is the problem with liberals, they think we are responsible for other people bills. this is a sad story, but why didn't he pay for his insurance? I bet he has many unneeded things in his house that if were not bought he could have had insurance. this is a capitalist country and that means he should care for himself and family. either socialist or capitalist country have people fall through the cracks. unfortunate but part of life. I do believe that in the US the fewest number of people fall through the cracks and that make us better.

Yes, there are folks that need government help. (of course local help is best, but not everyone is so lucky) But at the same time, it looks like this guy put money before people, namely his kids. He had the option to get insurance at work, and he passed. Don't expect me to feel too terrible for him. Did he have a TV? Cable? Video games? A Car? Own his house? The problem is that while there are many good people dealing with hard tiems that have legitimate needs, once you put a government system in place, leeches will take advantage. After having seen (and unfortunately worked in on occasion) public housing, I don't want the government in charge of healthcare. QuoteThis is just one case and how will his kids grow up w/o a dad? Maybe as criminals? Disorganized, incomplete? At the same time, I'm sure teh military will use the kids in some proxy war, so we will get bang for our buck; it isn't the rich kids going to war. Don't know. There isn't anything mentioned about how he raised his kids or what kind of social network he had. It looks like this guy just didn't bother to plan. The more free stuff promised by the governmnet, the less responsibility people take for themselves. You have a legitemate argument (not necessarily correct, but it passes the sniff test). But you picked one of the weakest examples in that guy. The only worse examples I can think of are the welfare queen and drug dealers driving luxury cars and collecting the gubment check. OK, the corporate welfare is worse, and even less sympathetic, but not a person.witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
