Even if we have Tijuana-style security (i.e. 2-3 fences, constant patrols, motion sensors, cameras etc on all our borders) we're only going to slow down illegal immigration, as it has been slowed down near Tijuana. And slowing down illegal immigration is a good goal, but it's a goal like "ending hunger" or "no child left behind." Such projects are never done.
