turtlespeed 220 #1 November 14, 2010 What can you tell me about the shot? Target is 12" x 12" the Weapon is a Mossburg 12ga Semi Auto - Full Choke Question is - How far away was I, what load, and what size shot? OH, and was it a 2 3/4", 3" , or 3 1/2" shell?I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun

wolfriverjoe 1,523 #9 November 14, 2010 Is it turkey season down there? It looks like what the turkey guys around here have for a sight-in target. 3 1/2, big birdshot (not buck), 20 or 25 yds"There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." HoldtheIce 0 #11 November 14, 2010 I was going to start with the most common shell size the 2.75 simpley because the 3 inch shell is so bloody expensive that it's not used much. 3.5 inch shell... not! Don't think they even make a 3.5 inch shell in a 12 ga. 3.5 inch in a 10 ga sure but not in a 12 ga. I'm going to say your shotgun is chambered for 3 inch shells and because of the BB count you used a 3 inch shell. Distance from target with the spread like that using a full choke....20 yards BB size...looks kind of big so I'm going to say #4. Smoked any Quack lately?Cause they know, and so do I, The high road is hard to find A detour to your new life, Tell all of your friends goodbye

Yep, 3" Steel shot #4, High Brass, 1 1/8 oz. But I do have some 3 1/2", #2, 1 1/4 oz, Those kick like a MF though.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun

It's even more expensive than the 3" (Although not as bad as the sabot slugs). A lot of the turkey hunters around here use it. And Turtle isn't kidding, the 3 1/2s kick rather fiercly."There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit."
