Two-out.. biplane with twisted reserve. Cut away or ride it down?

Once you cut one side, the rest should just drag behind you from the other riser side.




I'd be nervous as hell about a 'should' in that situation.

I'd be concerned that in deflating the chopper reserve lines / riser would entangle the main lines and now you've got a streamer.

For me, more fabric is a better backup plan.

But that's based on the idea that I'm not going to get away with a perfect landing in any case. Once I've accepted that I'm going to get hurt, it's just a case of avoiding getting killed...

Had this happen to one the our students right after they got their "A" on jump number 26. Jumping new gear and doing a horny gorilla :/

Her reserve handle got twisted and pressed against her body. When she deployed her main their was enough tension to open her reserve and it came out with line twists. She cut away and landed safely. This seems like one of those situations when every choice sucks.
