This is just embarrassing.

Sad to see Iran takin over by such ignorant, regressive bastards.

FUCK is all I can say. As a Muslim we believe in Moses so I have no idea what bull shit hypocrisy they will use to justify this.

Don’t ever forget that the one right that guarantees all your other rights is the right to bare arms.

No matter how progressive your world is things can change. Don’t ever compromise the rights guaranteed in The Constitution EVER.

In response to your post I think it's a hoot that the Star of David is there. Just like the US government building that looked like a swastika.

Knew it was my spelling. :D

Sorry i miss words ofthen And when the word is not spelled incorrectly but its just the wrong word the spell check is no help.

yea I have no issue with the Star of David. I just think its sad that the government does and now wants to remove it.

Fucking retarded if you ask me.

Its also sad to know there was a time in Iran where not so long ago (before 79) that Iran was actually a symbol of progressiveness in the Middle East.

'79 is when the Shah departed from leadership. And many considered him to be just an American puppet who didn't deserve to be in power, and that Iran deserved to have their own leaders.

So are you saying that things were much better in Iran when America had influence with the leadership, and now that Iran has their own leaders outside of American influence, that the country is worse off?

As with so many "American Puppets", the Shah's government was rather repressive.

Think Nicaragua under Somoza, Cuba under Batista, Panama under both Trujillo (sp?) and Noriega, and many, many, many others over the years.

But the governments that took over after the revolutions that toppled the "American Puppets" were often far more repressive and authoritarian than the ones they replaced. Again, think Nicaragua under Ortega or Cuba under Castro.
This isn't often acknowledged by the anti-Americans who see anyone replacing the "American Puppet" as a saint.

The Shah's regime was corrupt, repressive, dictatortial, and a bureaucratic quagmire.
But it often appeared to be progressive and modern, especially with it's treatment of women. Especially compared to the other countries in that region.

The current theocracy is everything the Shah was, with the addition of strict adherence to Shi'a religious laws. Except that the interpretation says that those in power are "Allah's chosen" and any dissent is an affront to Allah.
Funny how it works that way, isn't it?

First sorry for the spelling not on pc.
The Shah was a lesser evil. However if ur going to bring it down then why put back a flawed system. I would love to see Iran be much like the us where no one person holds all the power and everyone has garnted rights. Right now it is a minority run dictator ship that uses religion to excuse its crimes.

Unfortunately that building is the Iran Air building, I am pretty sure the US already has the nuclear facilitie coordinates.

Hi Dari,
Iran Air!! When I worked for Uncle Leroy Grumman in that F-14 IRAN project we usedta' spoof their operation and say,"Iran Air flight 269 from Isfahan to Teheran has been cancled due to mechanical difficulties. If anyone knows anything about how to repair airplanes, please report to the flight desk, Fly Iran Air, we're not the best airline, we're the 'only' airline,.....'The Wings.... Of Death!!!'"
