I'm beginning to re-think my views on taxation.

Taxes aren't theft. They are the dues we pay to live in an advanced society that provides the infrastructure for our ability to live well. If you don't like paying for the benefits of living in an advanced society, maybe you should emigrate to, say, Somalia or Sudan.

Well, John, Dreamdancer came up with the best idea for you guys....Tax everything and take it all. I guess that way we could ALL live well.

Strawman argument. Try harder to come up with something valid.

I really hate seeing people who truly believe that the government takes it all.

They have ZERO concept just how much money the top one percent REALLLY have:S:S:S

Not in my view.
But marketing one's fragrances, television shows, night clubs, appearances, and fashion products sure seem to.
:P
She's made more doing that than you and I could ever make.

I wonder just how successful she would have been if she'd started out without a fortune. Every woman can flash a pussy, nothing special about that.

Still waiting.....:|

I live well AND pay all my taxes AND I don't whine about it.

Just this week I put a new GNS430W GPS in my plane, bought a house, furnished it, and didn't have to borrow a dime:P

What is YOUR criteria and/or threshold for determining "productive"?

I don't think flashing pussy to the paparazzi counts as very productive in the greater scheme of things, although it was certainly good marketing.

I agree with that negative but you didn't provide any positive input into YOUR criteria and/or threshold for determining "productive".

Oh, just so we're clear...I'm rarely EVER against flashing pussy.
:D:D:D

AND still waiting:

Still waiting.....
My reality and yours are quite different.

You're totally dismissing her "reality star" success that allowed her self promotion.

and I can't believe I'm defending Paris Hilton....but...she HAS succeeded in marketing a product. At least as they are marketed these days.

Well, we're not defending Paris...just the idea that being handed a silver platter is not a bad thing in and of itself.
My reality and yours are quite different.

Pussy is hardly a new marketing gimmick.

Hmmmm...first it was the silver platter, then the flashing pussy, now it's because she didn't use a "new" gimmick.
Are you really sure how you feel or are you just playing by ear?

edite to add the silver platter

Admit it John, we're simply not a part of the target audience.
She DOES have a number of multi-million dollar products.
Admittedly, her coochie is not one of them.
Hopefully.

So how much is her coochie worth and should we tax it?
I mean after all, it was inherited, right?

Ladies and gentlemen....Johnny has left the building.

So what? Unless you're going to confiscate, the INCOME is the issue - of which, the top 1% gets 23.5%.

Out of that, they pay 38% of the tax bite for the entire country.

If prostitution were made legal, access to commercial pussy could indeed be taxed. Not a bad idea.

Who are these ladies and gentlemen that you are addressing?

Wishful thinking on my part. I'm ever the optimist.

edited to add (done after John's next post.)

Conversation has come a long way from Inheritance Tax, eh?

Do I take it that you're refusing to answer my two questions?

It's OK, we already established that it was a strawman that he couldn't confirm when challenged.

I didn't realize they were serious questions.

1. I have no idea how much Paris Hilton's "coochie" is worth. Speaking only for myself, I wouldn't pay anything for it.

2. I already indicated that if you can legally sell "coochie", taxing it is a good idea.
