Poerett 0 #1 January 11, 2011 So what do you think about this national debt in the Trillions? Does it worry you? Reagan was worried when it was 1 Trillion. The real figure now, when all entitlements are considered, is probably somewhere around 40 to seventy Trillion. Are you worried or are you more like myself , Alfred E.Neumanish? Saw something the other day about giving every worker over 50 a million dollars with the requirement that they retire and give up their jobs. An awful lot of jobs would open up, end of unemployment. Another requirement could be that they must buy a new house or pay off their mortgage. That woukd take some pressure off of the housing industry, Also have them buy a new American made car. We've had about 30 years of "trickle down". It ain't workin' so good from my view in the cheap seats! How about we give "trickle up a try"? FW UC "Treetop" a.k.a. LORD OF THE SKY Pssst the trickle down is a pipe dream that a few people are still suckin hard on. Your trickle up was actually a flood.... the LARGEST transfer of wealth from Main Stree to Wall Street in the history of the world... and certain morons and idiots are still waiting for the promised trickle... after 30 years.. you would think they might start getting a clue that W and his fellow travelers been foolin them over and over and over and they got trickle and shame all over em.
