Well, they can't arrest him because of something he said somewhere else. They can deny him entrance to their country on that basis, however, just as the U.S. can do. Can you point out where the words 'people of the world' are used? Irrelevant section. "We the people" in that instance refers to the people establishing and ordaining the constitution, not the ones being protected by it.Do you want to have an ideagasm? It only exists within the US. When you visit another country, you have to abide by their norms, no matter how stupid they may be. And when other citizens come here, they should be given the near entirety of our norms.
Gravitymaster 0 #36 January 20, 2011 I think the question is: If a Pakistani commits an act of terrorism in Iraq, is he endowed with the rights of an American Citizen just because the act was against an American soldier? If so, then if he commits an act of terrorism against a Korean sildier in Iraq but is detained by an American soldier, which country's laws is he subjected to? Andy9o8 2 #39 January 20, 2011 Dan, your understanding of when American Constitutional rights do and do not apply to non-American citizens is the legally correct one. Those Americans in this thread who have disagreed with you are embarrassing themselves, and need to attend remedial Social Studies.
Andy9o8 2 #40 January 20, 2011 Quote Quote Quote "I have no intention of doing anything against British law. We feel this is definitely against constitutional rights to travel and freedom of speech." He said. "We believe that our visit there could be beneficial." Only an American could claim that some other country is violating his 'constitutional rights'. Textbook example of why the world gets 'pissed off' with Americans/America in general. Fortunately most people do realise that he is at the extremely dumb end of the spectrum. Exactly. Jones is a known idiot, so his mis-use of the term "constitutional rights" is a non-event. Any non-American who gets pissed at Amricans/America because of what Jones does and says is being as ignorant as Jones is.
