And we're talking about real planes here, not toys

Still waiting John....

Is this still not a real plane?

nor this one?

http://www.quicksilveraircraft.com/sport.htm

You do not need a license or insurance to own AND TO FLY THEM.

1. You are not John

Correct

2. Point is they *are* planes.

Ok, if you say so. I wouldn't consider a powered parachute a plane, but whatever blows your hair back.

A handgun and a rifle are not the same thing, but they are both firearms.

You and Normiss should get together and argue if firearms = guns.

The planes I listed are not flexible wings which is kinda the definition of parachute.

They are considered to be in the same category as powered parachutes.

A better analogy would be a paintball gun with a rifle. They are both guns, right?

True. Of course, so is this.

Are you suggesting that the FAA get involved with paper airplane construction and flight?

What kind of fuel do they use and where is it put in?

FAA has them in the same category, take it up with them.

I asked a question, he gave an answer. You are making no sense.

Irrelevant. The FAA regulates gliders and licenses glider pilots.

Try to take a paintball gun into an elementary school and let me know if they considered it a gun.

Try to fly a powered parachute into an elementary school's hallways and tell us how you get on.

I'm glad we agree that elementary schools have absolutely nothing to do with the issue.

I understand... you have nothing, so now you are trying to distract.

You brought up the topic, not I. Deal with it.

I did deal with it... By taking your position and making it look foolish.

YOU could say that, but I wouldn't, any more than I'd claim a water gun is a real gun.
