Niki1 1 #1 March 29, 2011 I thought that this would get some comment on SC. http://news.travel.aol.com/2011/03/28/woman-claims-she-was-fired-by-tsa-for-being-a-wiccan/ It sounds to me like it was the "mentor" who was out of line. DougH 270 #7 March 29, 2011 Are you trying to tell me that there are incompetent managers on the federal payroll??? I thought all government workers were the creme de le creme that worked for less pay than the private sector because they were selfless individuals."The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

And they want you to invest a lot of money in a developement project that's 20 East of Daytona Beach. Just send me the cash and I'll see that they get it. Andrewwhyte 1 #14 March 30, 2011 It doesn't surprise me at all. Discrimination against Wiccans, Santaria practitioners and atheists is commonplace in North American society. It is condoned in almost all areas. About twenty years ago the supposedly progressive NDP (socialist) party in BC removed a candidate after it was learned he was a Wiccan. mrmedic 0 #15 March 30, 2011 Again, religious freedom taken to the extreme. "You'll have religious freedom as long as you believe what I believe" Can't we all just believe what we want w/o denying others the same? And for the record, I'm atheist. I don't believe in a "Supreme Being" of any sort. But you are free to believe in whichever robed, turbaned, naked, horned, furred diety you choose to. I believe in the "Golden Rule" Threat others as you would have them treat you. wmw999 2,517 #16 March 30, 2011 I was a federal contractor for a long time. Federal employees were no different from the non-federal employees I worked with (including when I was entirely in the private sector). Some good, some bad, most wanted to do a good job. I don't disagree, I worked for DOD for a little while before going back to college. There was some great managers, and some really chitty ones.
