Neither shows much independent thought; they glom on to what some guy posts on a website and parrots it without a second thought. They are driven by their desire for a political outcome rather than any desire to actually find out what happened. Neither one sticks to any consistent story. Once they are proven wrong beyond a shadow of a doubt, they just switch stories and say something like "well, of course that's wrong; I never believed that. But look at THIS new thing I found on the Internet! This is proof positive!" They are both equally unwilling to do anything to actually investigate the case or prove their position, because they know it's untenable. Birthers demand that Obama post his original birth certificate while refusing to do so themselves. Truthers demand investigation after investigation, without being willing to do any basic research on their own. You post like you are above thisYou are no different than those you post about here except you are on the other side of the fence of those you lable good stuff keep it coming"America will never be destroyed from the outside, if we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." Both the birthers and the truthers are equally convinced they are right. They are both immune to facts. Name one thing you think Bill believes that's on a stupidity par with truthers and birthers? You would but you are in the same boat as him as far as I am concerned. You cant ever be wrong in your own mind and anyone that disagrees with you is uneducated, stupid or both That is precisely why what you think means nothing to me"America will never be destroyed from the outside, if we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." jakee 1,489 #117 April 22, 2011 Quoteseriously AGW Whether you agree with it or not, if you can't see the difference between a major scientific theory with global support and a crackpot political slur dreamed up by a celebrity lawyer/realtor and propogated by a few idiots with youtube accounts then you really are lost in partisanship. You need some perspective. Seriously.Do you want to have an ideagasm?

Show me the proof That is all the perspective I need But you cant do it for showing me where the idiots really reside The proof (or disproof) for this theory will come with time, though models and lab experiments will continue to attempt to cover new variables as knowledge increases. OTOH, Obama will always have been born in Hawaii, and new evidence will not come here. And 9/11 will always have been committed by 19 Saudis under Bin Laden's command. Neil Armstrong did in fact land on the moon. None of these conspiracy theories will ever pan out differently than they are now. There is plenty of evidence to support AGW theories. And even if it turned out that the recent warming is entirely due to the end of the ice age 10000 years ago, it's still has consequences. In contrast, the mass of evidence is decidedly on the side against the birthers and the 9/11 nuts.
rushmc 23 #121 April 26, 2011 You are right Iowa needs to catch up with the rest of the country http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/2011-04-25-trump-president-poll.htm Quote Still, in the USA TODAY poll, only 38% of Americans say Obama definitely was born in the USA, and 18% say he probably was. Fifteen percent say he probably was born in another country, and 9% say he definitely was born elsewhere. kelpdiver 2 #122 April 26, 2011 from the same article: doesn't seem like (registered) republicans nationwide are much better. Quote Republicans are inclined to say the president was born abroad by 43%-35%. For what it’s worth, not everyone is convinced Trump was born in the USA either: 43% say he definitely was born here, and 20% say he probably was; 7% say he definitely or probably was born in another country. Nearly three in 10 say they don’t know enough to say.
