Greig474 0 #1 May 11, 2011 Since the death of Bin Laden there have been several cases where members of the muslim community have burned pictures of Obama and accused him of being a terrorist for the raid of Bin Laden's property in Pakistan, a country the American's had no right to be in. I for one totally agree with their protests, he had two options that he could have followed 1. They should have left him alone Sure he is responsible for the deaths of thousands of people, and was likely still planning more, but you can't go after him if he is in someone else's back yard, thats just rude. 2. They should have left the hunt for him in the capable hands of the pakistan army After all it is their back yard. I mean they were unable to detect that 2 foreign military helicopters filled with 24 foreign soldiers snuck over their border and conducted a raid less than a mile from one of their largest military bases. A raid that involved explosives, gunfire and a helicopter crash, but come on, they should have been allowed to give it a try!

freethefly 6 #4 May 12, 2011 I highly doubt that 99.9% of them could point out their own country on a map, let alone find a 6'4"-6" terrorist across the road from a military installation."...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Skyrad 0 #8 May 13, 2011 Sure Pakistani national pride was dented by the cross border raid into sovereign territory, if the Mexicans did the same to take out a drug baron in the USA without mentioning it to the US Gov there'd be plenty of pissed off Americans on here too, it doesn't mean that they'd be pro the drug baron. Today alone in Pakistan the Taliban killed 80 people in suicide bombings, apart from a few nutters theres no love for Bin Laden. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. tkhayes 348 #10 May 14, 2011 I am sure there are plenty of occasions when white Christians burned something like, say a....KORAN..... burning shit means absolutely nothing more than people venting. when you see an American flag get burned, walk away and ignore it. When you see pictures being burned, walk away and ignore it. all you do is promote their cause by giving it any attention.

Of course, another lame excuse to attack the character of christianity...so typical. Fine then...I guess the important thing is that christians and americans alike aren't rioting and killing eachother over it....Your secrets are the true reflection of who you really are... tkhayes 348 #12 May 14, 2011 you seem to forget Nation Guards shooting students in the USA not so long ago. Whites beating blacks into submission only 45 years ago. lynchings, only a few years ago. We are only 'slightly' more civilized. I should have left out the 'Christian' part, it was not meant to be a slight against that in particular....we have plenty of our own demons within our own borders, with or without the religion. Greig474 0 #13 May 14, 2011 Quote all you do is promote their cause by giving it any attention. fair point, thats how marilyn manson got so famous. However this particular cause is so ridiculous that I'm not really too worried about that because i really don't see it going anywhere. I wasn't starting this thread out of anger, i started it because I found the whole situation hilarious. If they wanted to convince people that Obama was a terrorist there is far better material for them to use than the killing of the worlds most wanted terrorist in somebody else's back yard. e.g the huge number of civilian deaths in iraq/ afghanistan since obama took office. Of course there are the earlier reports of a Pakistani helicopter crashing that day ,in that area , and the search turning into a fire fight . And then suddenly it's the SEALS , to the rescue and a script worthy of the Jessica Lynch story!!! Hey, just an update and sorry for the distraction but Pat Tillman is still dead and he died by US bullets contrary to what they were lyin' to you and his family for months. But back to Osama.., seems Bhutto who was assaisnated as she returned to run for president of pakistan was pretty convinced that Osama had been dead for a while as she entered that country. Dead men tell no tales. Osama is dead. Since Dec. 2001. Kidney failure. Maybe it was a couple of bullets in May 2011. Would it or has it made any difference ? Are we closer to peace? Is the poor sap US Marine that got his leg blown of yesterday any better off? What about the Afghani family whose mother, two daughters, and a son were killed by a drone strike today? Go ahead. Celebrate that Ben Ladin is dead. Good a reason as any I'm thinkin' 'cause after all, what else do we have to celebrate? Peace, Jim B
