I think, those in the trenches fighting the war on drugs should do to the drug gangs what the gangs are doing to innocent citizens in Mexico and other places! That would put a crimp in their activities!

The questions related to the war on drugs, you are trying to turn that into an MJ based conversation. All I am saying that those are not the same things.

I have no issue with legalizing MJ, however not in favour of legalizing heroin or make Oxy OTC.

I have no issue with the teacher of my kids smoking a doobie outside of work, but would be significantly upset if he/she turned out to be a crackhead.

I'm sure you can see the difference and agree that the war on drugs targets more than just MJ.

A large majority in Mexico see the drug war as a farce. They oppose U.S. intervention and blame the U.S. for the escalation in deaths.
The U.S. has bullied countries for more than 40 years to adopt U.S. policies and the outcome has been an increase in death. As of yet, there has been no dent in stopping drug use. In fact, use has increased and drug lords have reaped the profits.
The number of illegal drug related death has remain relatively the same, while legal prescription drug death has risen. When a war creates more collateral death than the item you are purportedly waging war upon it is time to end the madness.

I can certainly see that portion of it.
MJ is a HUGE part of the war on drugs however.

Chemicals, both illegal AND over the counter are not good for our bodies IMO. I do my best to avoid the OTC variety as much as possible, and the illegal ones entirely.
