rehmwa 2 #2 May 18, 2011 Doesn't matter what his cause is or which party is being spoken to. that type of attack is childish and wrong - and likely illegal ... Driving is a one dimensional activity - a monkey can do it - being proud of your driving abilities is like being proud of being able to put on pants
JohnRich 4 #3 May 18, 2011 Yep, looks like an assault to me. That stuff could have easily gotten into their eyes. Newt has a good-looking wife. And they both showed a classy good response - getting back to signing books with a smile right on top of the pile of glitter. But just because the targets took it well, doesn't mean that the attacker should get off easy.

diverborg 0 #7 May 18, 2011 Childish and wrong? Yes. Funny? Yes. This is harmless, and thinking the guy should be charged with anything for dumping glitter on somebody is pretty silly. Do we really want to become that hypersensitive as a society? "Oh that guy looked at me funny, Oh he called me a dirty name, charge him officers!!". If dumping glitter on somebody is assault, then we better start banning rice at weddings in case somebody got it in their eyes.

The guy could've thrown rocks and bottles... but he didn't, he threw glitter! I think too, it's funny. Our society has become way too sensitive and needs to lighten-up. scruffy 0 #17 May 19, 2011 Quite a few of my colleagues have been pretty peeved that Newt hasn't bowed out yet. Personally I was excited from the get go because I knew he would be comic relief, and he certainly hasn't failed to deliver yet.Peace, love and hoppiness
