Skyrad 0 #101 May 31, 2013 Today i've had an American colleague join our team, he's flying in and out from the USA, an older guy. Today I noticed he was wearing a USMC ring and commented on it, well that was that we were there putting the world to rights for ages, then discussing guns and he showed me his CCW permit and so then we got discussing what firearms we each own. Looking forward to working with the guy, sometimes its nice to get a different cultural perspective on things. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. popsjumper 2 #103 June 1, 2013 QuoteAt a bar in rural Surrey, i had a crowd of people telling me how awful America was nad American were twats and all sorts. When i asked which parts they had visited... NONE of them had been. That's the thing...they don't have to come here. They see waaaayy too many arrogant 'Merican assholes when they arrive there...same reasons for other countries not appreciating us. We'd do ourselves a great service if we simply acknowledged the culture of the country we are visiting. Better yet, getting involved with it goes a lot farther towards good international relations. My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. Skyrad 0 #104 June 1, 2013 If I'm totally honest I had a pretty negative view of Americans until I actually went to America. Unfortunately the typical American on vacation in London don't do American's reputations any favours. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy.
