virgin-burner 1 #1 June 1, 2011 went to my old shooting club, called up my instructor from back in the day if he knew someone that might be interested. he asked me to come over and give it a couple rounds. so, i did! shot 75 out of 85 possible points for that program at 300 meters with the standard iron sight, conditions were cloudy and rainy. i havent shot my rifle in over 3yrs. i think i've left them impressed.. now they talked me into becoming an instructor for the adolescents program. voluntary, but nonetheless.. they probably would of thought different if they knew my other past-time besides skydiving was playing shooter games online.. oh, and i brought a "first date" along with me to the range. never done that before.. after that it was dinner with some great fish the clubs president caught himself. shooting aint so bad after all.. “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. I understand but hey that was some nice shooting. Are you still selling the rifle? now i probably have to keep it. i have a nice pumpaction i wouldnt mind getting rid of, it's a remington "special purpose" - meaning it's made for magnum (2 3/4" rounds), short barell, two pistol grips, hard chromed; would look good on a terminator, perfect to get rid of critters.“Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. Let's have a look @your handywork ... nah, the token they gave up on giving you back home some time ago. and the rifle i bought from the army when i got out of there. but then it's "castrated", meaning my fire-selector will only accept single fire.. no more burst and auto! no posting of pics of my chicks in here! “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. PiLFy 3 #17 June 1, 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ar0_um--LDQ 15K rounds on the same barrel? No shitsky. Being fully auto, I would think it would eat barrels from over-heating.

Being fully auto, I would think it would eat barrels from over-heating. well, you dont shoot 15k in a row mate.. never more than 120 at a time, then let it cool off! one day i could go a little crazy with it. probably fired 1000 rounds then. but yea, some of my buddies were being STUPID with theirs, until the hand protectors would start melting.. i dont think theirs work still as fine! daily cleaning, lots of grease, always clean the barell before shooting.. them forged thingies hold forever if you take care of them!“Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. wsd 0 #20 June 2, 2011 Try Frog Lube, it works great and keep your bbl and both cleaner and easier to clean. I said polish not change the geometry....Do not remove any metal, simply use a buffing wheel and dremel tool with felt polishing head and some polishing compound. Then use the frog lube on these. What you are trying to do is lessen any resistance to smooth travel and release. Smooth and perfectly round the hammer glide surface so that it is flat and rounded, polish it like a mirror. After reading how much wear your rifle has, leave the springs alone and just buy a set of match grade springs.

wsd 0 #24 June 2, 2011 The match springs have less tension and therefore reduce trigger pull weight. Yeah I forgot where you are, springs will be cheap there. Yours are old enough to need replacing now. Clean your bbl well then use a felt jag and some bore paste to get it perfect, then use a patch with a very light coat of the frog lube.
