I am not endorsing any particular religion but I have noticed that many of us in this forum love taking shots at Christianity but there are few shots at Islam. I wonder if concerns of being visited by a suicide bomber might be the reason.

Yeah:S
Were you around when the "towel heads" were about to invade and rape all the women, massacre the babies , torch the churches and generally wreak havok on all of the western world?
But "We got 'im" .
We went to Iraq and Afghanistan and "We got 'im".

Thing is that there aren't alot of Islamics posting on this site to Crucify.
Another factor may be that the Muslim religion is more true ln it's simplicity.
When they say there is one true God they mean it.
They don't go on about well there really is three until leap year and then there are 29 until the eggs are hidden on Easter and no one can eat meat on Friday before hand or else you'll go to a fierey hell and be analy raped by Satans' 12 inch spiked cock.

Just an observation.

Good thing the calvary came to the rescue of their fraudulent freinds. The US government put up your money to hide the criminality of these bankers from you.

How do you like those apples?

Snidly Whiplash tied you to the tracks , where is Dudley Do Right?

He's right where he belonged...

Kindly don't include us in this equation. (Although, I understand the tongue-in-cheek) ;)

Dudley Do-Right was a cartoon Canuck Mountie. Canadian chartered banks are (reasonably) regulated. So far no banking or currency melt-down.

You know... we're actually not a bad kind of neighbor to have. And we're gonna win the Cup!

It turned out the Collier County couple had paid cash for the house and didn't have a mortgage.

Wow ... how can this happen? Except to say Real Estate Land Titles is incredibly out of date.

It's the sort of problem that title insurance should be covering, but I have yet to see how that cost ever actually pays out for anyone.

"Christian values uphold the law of the land."
"I disagree with the law that allows for legal abortions. "

Those two statements don't jibe, unless you don't have Christian values when it comes to abortion.

Christians are permitted to have personal opinions. Are you not able to see the difference in the subjects of the two statements?

Now, carefully refocus, the subject of this thread is how BoA got caught attempting an illegal procedure, namely, stealing someone's home.

Thread drift happens, deal with it. In fact, you started it by commenting about BoA providing banking services to illegal aliens, a practice you found to be against Christian teaching because Christians uphold the law of the land. Of course, abortion is also the law of the land, but somehow not subject to the same "Christian teaching is to uphold the law of the land" rationale.

HUH!!?

The concept was/is questionable banking policies. I did not tie it to Christian teachings.

Please understand, I believe in being a law abiding citizen. However, I do not agree with all laws.

You guys are trying so hard to create an argumentative put down you are looking silly.

If they bought the house with cash then it is possible they did not obtain title insurance. It does seem like a place where that would apply.

a cash purchase is a situation where I would most want this insurance - I'm out an entire house if there was some hidden lien or owner.

Either that or just the following in the sale contract.

Yes you did. Reread the thread if you don't remember.

He was not the first to mention Christianity in the thread, just replied to it.

Only in SC can a heart-warming thread about someone sticking it to an incompetent bank, get warped into a squabble about religion.:S

This thread is not that long, and it was easy to go back and see that funjumper101 needlessly brought religion into this thread. I say send funjumper101 to the penalty box for a 2 minute minor and tack on an extra 10 minute misconduct penalty. If one really needs to go the extra yard, also throw in 15 yards for unnecessary roughness.

But lest we forget, this is SC where Politics, Religion and Guns brings out the best of us. :)

But the extra 15 yards unnecessary roughness penalty will at least place him far enough away where he can't get up, close and personal with the merchandise. ;)

You are right that it is most prudent. You would hope that people who had done well enough to pay cash for a house would have the saavy to protect themselves, however, I would not count on it. I bet most people only have title insurance because the lender requires it and are not even sure what it is for.

I stand by my initial post this thread, #3. The first Christian reference was an attack.

I love it. Especially since BoA is one of the U.S. corporations that did not pay income tax and seeks to provide banking privileges to illegal aliens.

What a marvelous example of "Christian" values.
Cutting "illegal immigrants" off from access to banking services is helpful in what way?

How does this racist and morally bankrupt way of thinking square with the teachings of true Christainity. You know, help the poor, the downtrodden, the weak and the powerless?

False "Christians" spew a load of tripe about god and the bible, then come back with racist crap like this. It would be really amusing to be present when they move on to the afterlife and are held accountable for their hypocrisy and their perversion of "morality". God will administer harsh punishment, in an evenhanded and morally consistent way.

Well, that didn't take long to turn it into Christian bashing.

Christian values uphold the law of the land. The key word in my position is illegal.

According to the government at the time, Jesus and his followers were undermining the rule of law and were performing "illegal" acts in the course of their activities.

There are tons of examples in the Bible where the people who are wrtitten about are rebelling against the existing government, IE, performing "illegal" acts.

How come those folks get a pass from you? They were "illegals" in the context of the ruling powers of the times.

It used to be "illegal" and "Against God's Laws" to have white people marry people of other races.

You can't see the obvious conflict between your purported "values" and what you really think?

God must really have a thing for moral blindness.

I can dig your perception on hell's punishment, but I cant wrap myself around blowing you up because you don't live for Allah either.
