I'm interested to know how you and your church reconcile the anti-homosexual Scriptures found in the New Testament.

Maybe if you cited them it would help. Which ones are you talking about?

He should know them.

Assume I don't know. After all, I'm not a mind reader and I might think you're talking about one and I might be thinking of another. Please, list them.

How about good ol' Leviticus 20-13, straight out of the christian bible.(one of the versions, anyway...the King James one.)
Quote

If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

This verse plainly advocates killing of homosexuals. Ron, Coreece and Jaybird will back pedal pretty hard from this one. It's yet another inconsistancy in their mythology.

Wrong answer, that is Old Testament. I am asking about New Testament. It is a different ball game after Jesus. You know that.

C'mon let's wait for JohnnyMarko.

In all fairness, the statement was about The New Testament. Some Christians believe the laws in the Old Testament were voided by the New Testament. Which is weird when you consider how vocal some get about the 10 (or is it 15) Commandments, but in any case, most Christians do feel it's ok to cook up BBQ pork ribs on a Sunday.

...and yet recoil at the idea that the Qur'an similarly supersedes the New Testament.
Oh, well; sucks to be them.

Again . . . BBQ pork ribs on Sunday.

Wouldn't it be weird if at the root of everything that's REALLY what started the whole fight?

That aside, everything God created was perfect in the beginning.

And it is still perfect and will always be perfect.
Spirit doesn't make mistakes .
She intended homosexuals and intended you to have this debate so that you could come to Enlightenment.

Wake up and open your self to your inner Spirit, Jaybird.

[replyAnd 9/11. Although that wasn't caused by just the gays and lesbians - that was also the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists.

Actually 9-11 was caused by those devout Muslims who entered the strip club the night before ,drank alcohol, and made a scene . Paid with a credit card(easily traceable to Mohamed Atta,/ it had his name on the account) and left a copy of the Koran on the bar.
That's the official story anyway, Bil Von.
About as believable as god wanting her homosexual creations stifled or executed.

Enjoy the journey.

If I may interject this consideration. History records only one perfect person, Jesus Christ. He did not follow His free will but rather the will of His Father in heaven.

No Ron, You are sadly mistaken and have exposed your lack of Understanding.

Jesus did sin and it was His sin which led to His arrest and public humiliation, the Cruci-Fiction.

Do you remember a passage where he raised the whip against the "Banksters"? / The money changers in the Temple?

By his own words that should never have happened!
"Turn the other cheek"
" Love thy neighbor as yourself"

But he was whipping the money changers in the Temple!!!!

Jesus was Human. He erred as Humans do.
He was also God as are all Humans.

Nothing so special about that guy really.

His teaching is that we all have the same potential as He. We need only to look inside ourselves.

Complete the course before you instruct others.
Understanding and Enlightenment will come to you,
it is inevitable:)

You know...back when I was in the Army and before I learned much self control and patience, we would take guys like I suspect you are and beat their prissy little asses. You're obviously a coward because you hide behind your computer screen and hurl personal insults knowing there can be no real consequence.

Relax Jaybird! Go get a drink of water. Relax!

I met Winsor once . It was at a USPA BOD meeting.
He wasn't "prissy" and he stood up infront of an openly hostile group of group members at the group members committie meeting and logically and eloquently explained to the committee how they were stealing from the rank and file(i'm paraphrasing.)
The man is no coward as far as I could see. Certainly he wasn't hiding.

Any way relax JBird!

I'm pretty certain that is what God wants us to do.
Relax!!!!!

LOL!

There are 613 Mitzvot.

Dumbing it down for pagans resulted in the Top Ten, but there is no such distinction in Torah.

FYI, the correct terminology is, the OT Law was fulfilled in Christ Jesus.

Only in the Land of Israel.

Children of Israel recognize 613 (it's a family thing - you wouldn't understand).

Every Torah lists them, wherever it may be.

Even the Roman writings include them.

At least the 10 rules can be followed anywhere.

26 Mitzvos apply only in the land of Israel.

And ever since those Romans destroyed the temple, you know the one that replaced the first one, many of the Mitzvos cannot be observed.

I know every Torah lists them, but the majority of them cannot be observed.

Your air of superiority is misplaced in this matter.

Whether they can be observed or not has nothing to do with the point.

There is no distinction made in Torah regarding "observability."

Mitzvot are quantifiable. There are 613.

Your air of inferiority is justified.

That is your quote, implying that the 10 commandmends are a dumbed down version of 613 jewish rules.

On one side we have 10 rules, 9 of which are pretty decent "rules" to live by, most would consider them pretty common courtesy. One of them is a belief statement.

On the other side we have 613 rules, of which the far majority cannot possibly be observed.

I am surprised that somebody who will tell anybody and everybody how good his logical reasoning skills are, would pick the latter as the smartest set of rules.
