angry right wingers didn't enjoy socialism, kill a bunch of people.

That's not causation; and if one is really intellectually honest, it's not even correlation.

Norway.

The people in Norway are allowed to drill for their oil.. which is a major source of their wealth. here the socialist will not allow the drilling of oil...B|
in fact here in America, Big Brother will force you to buy light bulbs that are filled with toxic poison (which will end up in the land fills) .

Neither Sweden or Norway are Socialist.

Wow, I thought since the Norwegian Government owned the majority of it's oil and banking industries they must be socialist. Government provided healthcare for all must not count either. I guess since they also have the largest amount of cash in the world on hand for the retirement of it's citizens doesn't count either. I won't even mention they have the most generous welfare system in Europe.

And the right says that since Obama became president that we have become socialist, that's priceless

What about Canada? they have the ultimate Obama care

You think healthcare in Canada is good? Wherever did you get that idea? Michael Moore? Michael Moore does not want you to know about waiting lists. Michael Moore does not want you to know that millions and millions of people do not have family doctors. Michael Moore does not want you to know that in order to see a doctor you must wait in line for hours and hours and if the doctor sees you and diagnoses some problem it could be months maybe years before you are treated. Wherever did you get this idea that healthcare in Canada worked?

It wouldn't surprise me at all to hear that you live off the land. But the rest of us need jobs, and it's those nasty corporations that provide those.

One of the great things about this country is you can start your own company. It's not easy, but it can be done. As passionate as you are, go start a company that shows people how to do it right! Then you can write books, and give seminars, and make enough money where you can buy a whole town and make sure the laws are to your liking. That is, unless the government decides it needs to start taxing the rich so much that it needs to confiscate private property.
We are all engines of karma

It depends on who's definition you use to define Socialist. European socialism isn't really socialism at all, yet according to many Americans Obama is a socialist! (Total nonsense) allegedly Tony Blaire and Gordon Brown are both socialists by their own admission... They're not. The UK currently have a Conservative government but by US terms the policies are socialist. But then again there are so many Americans who are so far right that in most countries they'd be virtually fascist.

Thou shalt read more than the first couple of lines of Wiki to begin the journey of ism enlightenment. I love how people point to the Nordic Model and say, "See, Socialism works" when it is not "Socialism." If you throw certain aspects or economic bullet points; then by your surface-skimming definitions, the US can be considered socialist because we pay taxes to fund our education system. Welfare in Sweden and Norway don't even have the same definition as it does in the US. One has to look at the whole pie (system), not pick the pieces that validate their argument (welfare, healthcare, etc.) Read a book and stop espousing what others' say.
Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Good for you, your post prove over and over again how fair handed you are with all your comments. As far as "kissing the fucking ground for..." I'll kiss the GD ground of the corporation that I built over the last 23 years, thanking the +30 employees I have that helped me....all the time providing for 100% health care, later adding 401K and EAP. Your post ignore and lump all corporations and owners (basically) in one group. Your veiws are so one sided that you can't seem to even start to understand that not one side is correct, both sides have points good and bad.

I would gladly pay more taxes WHEN I believe that spending WON'T increase (other than adjusted for inflation) Almost NO business owners I know believe that the gov will ever do that.

+1

Most of those stupid fucks slept thru any kind of boring civics and history lessons... it was far more important to spend their limited brain power to question their science classes as heresy.... and wonder who to party with after the Friday night or Satruday afternoon football or basketball games.

But they did all the book learnin they needed from Bible passages on Sunday morning while getting absolved from being bad sinners the rest of the week

A very nice spin. Never speaks about wages earned but likes to mention average americans.

There's a simple explanation. First: unemployment. Apparently, Bush laid off a bunch of people last year. So the unemployment that Bush has caused (and the future Bush firings that Bush and Cheney and Goldwater will cause) means there are fewer Americans earning wages.

Second: there are actual wages. Remember the tech bubble? And how many people were earning money on stock options? That was a creature of the 1990's.

Third - and most important - there are 5 million more people over the age of 65 in the US than there in 2000. In 1990 there were 31.2 million. In 2000 there were 35 million. In 2010 there were 40.2 million people over the age of 65.

So an extra 5 million people not making the average income would tend to lower that number. 5 million may seem a pretty small number bu that is $250 billion that is unearned.

The aging of the population means that there are fewer people earning. This isn't some policy. This is a fact of life as baby boomers retire.

Hey, leave Amazon alone. She's on vacation. If we don't bother her while she's on vacation, maybe she'll explain socialism to us when she get's back. That way, we'll know when to agree with her. I'm looking forward to it! :)
