rehmwa 2 #2 September 1, 2011 What an idiotic move. if it was unintentional - then he comes across as arrogant, idiotic, and self centered if it was on purpose to create some kind of conflict with congress - then he comes across as idiotic only no win here for whoever advised a last minute notice for this type of meeting ... rehmwa 2 #5 September 1, 2011 Actually - I think this is a big to do about nothing. Pres recommends a date (albeit a press release is a stupid way to do it prior to getting everything confirmed) - congress checked their calendar and recommended an alternate date - they both agreed on the final date. no big deal I'm not sure what the point is about the headlines using the phrase "backing down" is all about. must be a slow news day....... the real question should be whether any of us expect him to announce a real 'plan' vs just more fail 'stimulus' vs just making a pretty and impotent speech - again ...vs just blaming something or someone else is a given - it will happen ... lawrocket 3 #6 September 1, 2011 Quotethe real question should be whether any of us expect him to announce a real 'plan' vs just more fail 'stimulus' The President has never hesitated to announce a plan. His plans are usually planning to announce a plan on how to plan the plans and planning to plan out the plans for the planners who will plan out the planners and plan the planning, thus planning to plan a plan that the planners plan to plan out, resulting in a final plan to plan the initial steps of the plans. jgoose71 0 #12 September 1, 2011 Of course, all of this could have been avoided if he gave his speech before he went on vacation. Now it's turning into a circus. Seriously, when are we going to here about this plan to save the economy? Is just trying to give us a dramatic pause? I know a lot of people that have been in a state of dramatic pause sense he took office.
