kelpdiver 2 #2 October 4, 2011 I share this fear. The GOP seems poised to nominate an airhead for President. We lose either way: 1) either it guarantees Obama another term that he doesn't really deserve. or 2) it gives us someone with even less business being President (Parry, Bachmann, Palin, Christie). Or it could do us a favor and send up Romney, so we won't have to vote for least worst in November.

lawrocket 3 #8 October 4, 2011 Absolutely. THe National Socialist Party is what the Tea Partiers are all about. Socialism, Big Government and Tea Party are hand-in-hand. Anti-Big Government now equals Large Central Government! Such fantastic logic. My wife is hotter than your wife.

I really got a kick out of being called a "racist honky motherfucker" some time back. Needless to say, the issue at hand had nothing to do with race (or Hungarians or mating with mothers, for that matter), but that appears to have been the standard defense/offense to which this guy resorted. It's kind of like the comic who noted that his mother failed to see the irony of calling him a "son of a bitch." Something about insisting upon being treated in a manner completely different than the norm, but reserving the right to object to perceived treatment in a manner different than the norm, always cracked me up. How could one not be a cynic? BSBD, Winsor

jclalor 12 #14 October 4, 2011 I don't think the majority of tea baggers are racist, but to claim they are not practically 100% white is a joke. Just for fun, go to youtube and look at teabagger rally's and try and find any of the brothers or the sisters in the crowd, not speakers, but teabagger members. Give yourself plenty of time. Well, to be fair he's made some great movies, but I give his political opinions no more weight that any other dude on the street. Just because he can make a good movie, doesn't mean he knows jack about anything else. This is pretty much true for all entertainers. In fact, it is pretty much true for all people. - Dan G

Since the Tea Party is an unorganized movement I can only speak for myself. I support the military. I believe the poor have programs in place to provide assistance. We don't need more of them. If more programs are necessary I would prefer to see them come from charitable contributions not taxes. I fear BHO because I see him as a modern day representative of the enemy I joined the military to stand against and fight if necessary. Therefore, I am angry with his position and power. I do not accept his political philosophy, his supporters, his mentors or his character as good for America. He is not a leader and basically he can't move the ball down the field. OMG! livendive 8 #20 October 4, 2011 Rob Reiner is, first and foremost, an entertainer. His opinions are of no more or less value than those of Ann Coulter, Michael Moore, Glenn Beck, Bill Maher, Rush Limbaugh, or Keith Olbermann. At least Bill Maher is funny, the rest I couldn't care less about."I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew)

billvon 3,073 #25 October 4, 2011 >I support the military. Great! Apparently some Tea Partiers do not. And when they booed a soldier during the Republican debates, not a single Tea Party candidate spoke out against it. Even here people tried to downplay it. >I believe the poor have programs in place to provide assistance. The Tea Party position is apparently in part, "let them die." (That answer was shouted out by a Tea Partyer at a debate and cheered by the rest.) >I fear BHO No shame there. Will you go to counseling to deal with that fear and anger, so you can make better rational decisions? Or will you express it often to others, hoping to anger and frighten them as well? If so, the Tea Party will welcome you with open arms.
