Motorsports is inherently dangerous to all who attend. Driver, crew, spectator. When vehicles are pushed to their limits, which is the very basis of racing, parts fail and accidents happen. There is no if, only a when and how bad. Well, we've long seen one part of Texas (East?) as a very popular court for shopping for large jury awards. Was that the reason here, or was the county chosen the one that the the victims lived in? Every one of the spectators that were injured and the families of those killed are entitled to compensation for the accident. It's a completely ignorant comment to simply state that they should suck it up and bear all of the responsibility for something that they had no control over just because you hate the word "lawsuit".It's all been said before, no sense repeating it here. You are absolutely right in one respect: They had no control over what happened. But the victims did. They chose to be there knowing full well that something like this could happen. It was very, very unlikely, but still possible. They controlled where they were that day, nobody else did.
