jgoose71 0 #1 November 2, 2011 Congressmen and women are finally starting to call for him to get out. Quote “I think he’s been a mistake from the very beginning,” Burton told TheDC in a phone interview. “When I was chairman of government reform and oversight during the Clinton administration, we had Holder before my committee a number of times and he misled the committee. In fact, he lied. During his confirmation in the Senate, I sent a letter to the chairman of the Judiciary Committee, [Sen. Patrick] Leahy, and I sent it to the other members of the committee as well, and I cited specific cases where Holder had not been straight with the committee and I said he should not be confirmed.” It also appears Holder misled Congress on May 3 when he told the House Judiciary Committee that he had known of Operation Fast and Furious for only a few weeks. Iowa Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley told TheDC he personally handed Holder a letter on the topic while the attorney general was in his office months earlier. Senior aides sent Holder numerous briefing memos on the subject, including the name and intimate details of the failed operation, as early as July 2010. Burton said Holder’s blatant disregard for the ongoing congressional investigation and the appearance that he lied under oath means he needs to resign now. “I don’t think he’s a trustworthy attorney general,” he said. “He’s a political animal. He’s more concerned about politics than he is about what’s right for the country.” Burton conceded, however, that Holder’s fate likely ultimately rests with the president. http://news.yahoo.com/congressional-calls-holder-resignation-more-double-17-043403794.html Remember, judge the president by who he surrounds himself with. Other Holder flubs: 1. Trying a terrorist in a civilian court and getting him acquitted of 284 charges. found Guilty of 1. 2. Saying he would close Gitmo, but had to reopen it. Saying he would try terrorists in a civilian court, then realized he would have to continue military tribunals. 3. Failure to investigate the Black Panthers for voter intimidation. 4. failure to investigate voter fraud during the last 2 elections. 2010: Voting machines wouldn't allow you to vote democrat. http://www.americanthinker.com/2010/10/the_democrats_final_recourse_m.html 2008: Army of thugs wouldn't let you vote unless it was for Obama in the Primary's. http://directorblue.blogspot.com/2010/07/we-will-not-be-silenced-hillary.html 5. Won't enforce Illegal immigration, and will sue any state that tries to enforce it themselves. 6. Most recent, gave a Visa and Amnesty to an Illegal (legal now I guess) who was smuggling drugs into the country to testify against a border patrol agent because he picked him up wrong after handcuffing him. The Agent got 2 years. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/oct/25/border-agent-jaile-arrest-teen-drug-smuggler/?utm_source=RSS_Feed&utm_medium=RSS And at the bottom of the Article, you can see that it's not the first time they have prosecuted a border patrol agent for doing his job. Seriously, after the "fast and furious" boondoggle, that has gotten people killed, what does he have to do to get kicked out? As I have said before, I will vote for anyone but Obama just to get Holder out of there and bring some justice back to America. Since the publishing of this article, I have heard reports that up to 30 congressmen have called for his resignation. He is a real peace of shit."There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." AndyBoyd 0 #2 November 2, 2011 To call the US Attorney General a "piece of shit" is classless and uncalled for. Grow up. Your buddy Gonzales was not exactly a prince either. http://abcnews.go.com/TheLaw/Politics/story?id=3421219&page=1 "Attorney General Alberto Gonzales announced his resignation Monday after months of growing criticism from Congress. Lawmakers blasted Gonzales after his department fired at least nine U.S. attorneys last year, and they accused him of misusing terrorist surveillance programs. Most recently Democrats said that Gonzales had repeatedly lied to Congress under oath."
rushmc 23 #3 November 2, 2011 So you are defending this piece of shit by invoking Gonzales? jgoose71 0 #4 November 3, 2011 QuoteTo call the US Attorney General a "piece of shit" is classless and uncalled for. Usually I would agree with you, but in Eric Holder's case I can't. To me he has committed the most grievous crime of all, voter fraud. What makes America work and keeps us from turning into such countries as Sudan, the Congo, Somalia, Uzbekistan, and some of the other most corrupt countries out there is the governments accountability to the people. When you start corrupting the voting process and the judicial process like he has, you have taken away accountability to the people. While he has done other things wrong, as other DOJ Attorney Generals may have, the one thing that must always stand here in the U.S. is the governments accountability to the people. Eric Holder to me has broken that trust. This is not supposed to be a political office, but he has turned it into one. Instead of holding up the laws of the land, he has turned his office into a corrupt army of lawyers to enforce Obama's agenda's instead of the law, and allow whatever fraud happen that he see's fit to take the voice away from the people and allow him to do what ever he wants. To me that scares the holey living crap out of me. Do you honestly think the next presidential election will be fair? If people start sounding off about voter fraud again, do you think that it will be investigated if it favors Obama? Welcome to the start of a new America. Hope you enjoy it. If the next Attorney General allows voter fraud to favor Republicans, don't whine to me. It's the system you defended. Edited to add: And how do you compare an Attorney general who was criticized for to aggressively going after terrorists to this? Holder can't even call them terrorists. Acts of terrorism became "Man Made Disasters""There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." AndyBoyd 0 #5 November 3, 2011 Gonzales wasn't any better than Holder. The AG's office was every bit as political under Gonzales as it is under Holder. It's just that Gonzales shares your political views and Holder doesn't. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dismissal_of_U.S._attorneys_controversy
AndyBoyd 0 #6 November 3, 2011 Regardless of who the AG is, to call him or her a "piece of shit" exposes you as classless and juvenile. When a Republican president is elected and a Republican AG starts throwing his or her weight around like Gonzales did, I am sure you will applaud enthusiastically. Have fun. jgoose71 0 #7 November 3, 2011 QuoteGonzales wasn't any better than Holder. The AG's office was every bit as political under Gonzales as it is under Holder. It's just that Gonzales shares your political views and Holder doesn't. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dismissal_of_U.S._attorneys_controversy Some Key points, during the Gonzales time frame, there was some contention as to whether he did anything bad or not. The chief complaint against him was firing justices who were trying to prosecute bush and his administration for their aggressive roll in the persute of terrorists. The rest is still considered made up by the liberal media. Either way, he resigned when he realized that all the bad press he was receiving would degrade the position he held. With Eric Holder, there is no denying what he has done. His negligence has lead to many people dead with the fast and the furious boondoggle, and his defense for all the voter fraud crap is "black people, no matter what they do, can't discriminate against white people." And he is not stepping down. If you think that discrimination is only a crime as long as it's only against minority groups, by all means, keep voting for Obama and Holder. I also find your "two wrongs make a right" argument kind of disingenuous. Aren't you going to try to defend his actions?"There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. Maybe to avoid the appearance of racism we can just compare him to Ashcroft instead. Another piece of shit. When did we last have a decent one?? Can't recall the ones for Bush I. But ultimately he's the decoy for the President's follies. It was Obama that pretended to support medical pot and then sicked Holder on the dopers. It was Bush that wanted torture and Gitmo and used his boys to back him up. Still, lying to Congress ain't cool, even in an Administration where the SecTreas committed tax evasion.
