I may never have enough money for a personal ball washer but I have enough brains to understand the term "Aggregate".

Yes the banks had their asses saved by US the tax payer and YES the banks did kick back a few percentage points back to US the tax payer. Very nice thank you....got to love those sexy 1% loans.

Now but how about the overall cost to me the US tax payer? Yeah sure I made a little cash off that loan but the damage that was done to the economy......well....let's be real shall be. The banks got saved if they wanted to or not...and those that did not want took that cash and invested it in buying up other assets and made shit loads of money.

Now the rest of US tax payers are doing the math and realizing we should have charged those banks a solid 10% interest rate on the money so as to offset the damage that was done!

Also, many tax deductions phase out at the higher income. The 600 or 800 dollar tax credits in 08/09/whenever didn't apply to anyone with 6 figure incomes, regardless of local cost of living. You can't contribute to a Roth Ira with incomes over 120. Until last year, you couldn't do a traditional to roth ira conversion with incomes under...95? Maybe the same 120k barrier. And the marginal tax rate goes from the 28% (25 for married) to 33%, an increase of 5%.

I went to a state school in NY, furthest you could get away and still be in NY state. Lots of trust fund babies who lacked proper brains to buy their way into good schools came there.
