What a fine example of American Patriotism.

>Businesses are in business to make money.

Well, and apparently to ensure that the political leaders they don't like are not re-elected - even if it means economic harm.

Sure Bill I harm my business all the time to hurt Obama. That has to be the weakest comment you've ever made.

Why just last week I didn't hire someone so that employment numbers wouldn't go up. It cost me a good bit of profit but by God I'm not helping that SOB look good.

Give me a break.

Saw that story a week ago

(not on FOX however)

He must be a smart business man

Oh

And as far as a reply to the rest?

Well, the others here plattered your ass well enough for me to just sit here, read the thread and chuckle

Perhaps he should be silenced since his political views aren't approved by the glorious leader?

Glorious Leader should be capitalized. Even by his worst enemies, you never saw him referred to as mr. big, did you, . . . huh?

>Please tell me exactly why is Obama good for business?

He's not. Nor is he bad for business. Here in the US the government does not run businesses.

>Why should businesses trust Obama when Obama has no experience in the business world?

Because we are not a socialist country.

I have to say it is odd to hear the conservatives complaining that Obama's not messing more with American businesses.

You could always try READING the article linked in the OP, then you wouldn't need to ask redundant questions.

Given that the article stated that he couldn't AFFORD to hire, maybe you can show where he's supposedly hurting his business in order to hurt Obama.

Really?

If you think this then YOU need comprehension classes

It appears that hiring at this time would HURT his business (which can be seen if the article is read)

So, you're going to get around to explaining how not being able to afford to hire anyone (his words) is "hurting his business in order to hurt Obama", right?

"Can't afford it," explained the employer, Bill Looman. "I've got people that I want to hire now, but I just can't afford it. And I don't foresee that I'll be able to afford it unless some things change in D.C."!

If you interpt that as huring Obama I got to say your twister course is a bit more radical than i first thought

Nope. Just repeating what he said.

The article doesn't appear to support your version of the story:

Quote

"But Looman said that he is not refusing to hire to make some political point; it's that he doesn't believe he can hire anyone, because of the economy. And he blames the Obama administration.

"The way the economy's running, and the way my business has been hampered by the economy, and the policies of the people in power, I felt that it was necessary to voice my opinion, and predict that I wouldn't be able to do any hiring," he said."

If you think he's lying, take it up with him.

if you feel you can do better, there is nothing stopping you from opening up a business, going on a massive hiring binge, making sure all your workers are unionized, making sure you give them all generous benefits, tons of time off, early retirement and make sure even the lowest skilled workers are paid high salaries. If you think you can show American business's how it's done, have at it. Knock yourself out.

That’s absolutely it. There are plenty of people out there saying, “GIVE ME A JOB.” Those who are saying, “I cannot afford to create jobs” are viewed as treasonous.

Jeanne – what’s your problem with not hiring? If “hiring employees” is a patriotic duty and failing to do so is treason, then why don’t you take every laborer who has never incurred a payroll obligation and toss them into the clink? Oh, yeah. It’s only the 1% and those who do their beck and call who have this obligation. It’s treason for a businesswoman not to hire her way into bankruptcy. And it’s treason to be bankrupt. But for anyone who hasn’t ventured into that world it is a sign of being a true American.

No.. its about doing what is best for the country... to get the economy on track again.

It's pretty obvious that certain sectors will not help to do that... you know.. the ones who wrap themselves in an American Flag at any opportune moment and go on and on about America "values" and mom... and Apple Pie.

They are just like this good ole boy RED STATE voter... who will do EVERYTHING possible... to make sure that the economy will stay stagnant... even though he could hire.. he will not... and I will lay you odds that yes indeedy.. he COULD afford to puyt people to work.. and his profits would increase. Spiting ones face by cutting off your nose.. seems to be the deisre of the day in the party of so called American Patriots.

Doing what's best for the Country? By putting himself out of business?

Gee - the whole economy between 2002 and 2008 was GREAT for the country. Low unemployment. Low interest rates. Massive governmental revenues at the federal, state and local levels. It was amazingly wonderful and crashed the hell down.

Sorry. Jeanne, but doing what's best for the country brought us the Iraq war. It brought us the whole real estate bubble.

It's sure as hell not best for this guy to hire anybody. Jeanne - do what's best for the country and hire four or five people. Oh. That's right. You DON'T do it.

I'm asking why YOU don't do what's best for the country. You've said it but you aren't doing it. Is it because you are like the millions of others who only want someone else to do it?

Oh I don't know.. I guess I expect people in a "civilized society" to work for something better... silly me. Sorry but the guy can use all the excuses he wants... but doing what is right for the PARTY... sound suspiciously like the excuse Pravda used to use all the time.
