i like ron paul but he comes off to quirky. not electable personality.

you're going to be a very unhappy camper come November.

***WAY too emotionally invested in all this. Whatever happens will happen regardless of what you post or bookmark here, or how angry you get about it.

No emotion at all really

I just am marking those oh so sure what is going to happen posts

after 2 terms of obama you will lose your sanity when hillary is elected in 2016

Hillary would be a huge improvement over what we have today

You can kid yourself, but it's pretty obvious to the rest of us. You look for any nugget of weakness in Obama or hope for the GOP side. You still are bitter about Bush's (self inflicted) fall, blaming it on media conspiracies. You cannot fathom how Obama can win reelection when it's probably a 90% likelihood.

You can take solace in the fact that should he win the 2nd term, it's highly likely that the GOP side will retake it in 2016. After two terms in the White House, the party tends to wear out its welcome. The people have heard enough scandal and bs and want a changing of the guard. This can be seen in 1992 and in 2000.

The only one kidding them-self is you.

What does get me wound a bit are those who look down at anyone who does not agree with them.

As for Obama
90% is a big stretch
At this point he would make history getting re-elected
And if he does get back in the White House I only hope that the House and Senate can stop his agenda

Well, he made history the first time. So there's precedent.

True
But more is known about him now

And that will now work for him

As Jon Stewart said last night, Cain supporters who are upset at the news of his 13 year long (alleged) affair are flocking to a guy with TWO CONFIRMED affairs.

But given it's now approaching December, the GOP race might actually crystalize into a two man field, so soon we'll get much more reliable polling without all the what ifs still in the equation. Bachmann and Parry have a couple weeks to become relevant again. Cain needs a smoking gun to save his ass. Seems unlikely to occur.

So now we'll see how dirty Romney's campaign wants to play - does it want to reintroduce America to all of Newt's moral failings? Will the Christian Right prefer a slimeball to a Mormon infidel?

It's pretty much down to Romney and Gingrich at this point, neither of whom scare me much. Gingrich doesn't scare me because he's too slimy to beat Obama. Romney doesn't scare me because, well, I'd actually consider voting for him.

Latest polls show Newt beating Obama

In any event
I have book marked this post

Romney won a majority of votes in Iowa among those who considered ability to beat Obama their primary concern. Newt got what, a third of the votes that Romney did?

I think there will be one more not-Mitt. Freddie Mac's support of Newt is likely to sink him, or at least make him unpalatable compared to Romney.

Looks like Santorum, whose religous demographic will do him well in the Bible Belt but is unlikely to carry the Northeast or the West. Unfortunately he'll probably hang around just long enough to sink Paul.

I really don't think the 2 are getting votes from the same demographics at all... I'd even guess that there's probably zero cross over.

Romney and Paul would probably split the bible thumpers, but the "not-Mitt" and tea party minded folks would break decidedly for Paul.

Paul was sunk no matter what

Possibly, but I'm not completely convinced yet. He's certainly showing better than he has in the past, albeit with some unfortunate compromises. It's too bad. Romney does at least seem sane and smart enough to warrant my consideration, but I consider him a long shot at best for my vote. I can assure you that Paul would stand a MUCH better chance at getting me to vote Republican this time around.
