(One exception would be that dog whisperer Cesar Millan, whit him I'd like to see an option that involves rabid pit-bulls on crystal meth) As for "it's not the religion" I have to admit that due to conflicting texts in the bible it's possible to interpret the Bible in non-violent ways. And indeed the teachings of Jesus don't leave a lot of room for violence, however they don't neutralize the more disturbing texts that are mainly in the OT. At least not in my interpretation of it, and not in the interpretation of many modern and even more historical Christians. Islam has a lot less room for interpretation, btw, but that's another story. I'm not devangelical about my irreligious stances. In my experience faith or lack there off usually doesn't make people worse or better. People have certain opinions and they search in their religion for texts that support those opinions, not the other way around. We don't even have to search for texts, us non-believers just have opinions and support them with random one-liners. "Live and Let Live" would be one of mine, mind you I'm more into that IRL than in the SC. You would laugh your ass off if you would witness my intolerance for religion IRL. The most heinous display of it would probably be when I godfathered the youngest of my best friend. I just like heated discussions but I know better then to do those IRL. I only get pissed if someone tries to impose their religion (or lack there off) on me or someone else. And that seldom happens over here. Sure, praying is stupid, but more important, it's usually harmless, and that's far more important in my book. I do all kind of stupid but harmless things myself, btw, so who am I to judge? So do I blame the religion? Yes, sir, I do, but in case of Christianity I judge what I see as the real religion. But there's literally millions of personalized versions of the religion. Are all those evil as well? Nope. In fact I believe many/most people are apatheists like me.
