"Ever notice that nearly every story on the Onion is about a Republican?"

Posted some examples that refute that.

Aha! You've fallen into his cunning trap, for you see, he said nearly every story! No matter how many exmples you post, they all fall under the umbrella of 'nearly'.

(Never mind that in Republican Primary season, it's hardly a shocker that more news stories of any kind involve Republican politicians. Imagine the uproar if they didn't? 'Lamestream media ignoring right wing politics, showing liberal bias horror!')

>Right, because socialized medical care isn't pandering to the communists.

Romney is pandering to communists? O the horror!

Yep, that's why he's not real popular among conservatives and Republicans.

He has stated that he will do everything possible to repeal Obamacare if elected. Many right-wingers do not trust him.

That's a funny and fascinating way to look at his popularity with the right, seeing how's he's going to be their nominee and all.

Once again we are faced with the lessor of 2 evils. Sad isn't it?

No, that isn't a refutation of his comment.

He was refuting what I said, not the other way around. Try and pay attention.

And you claimed that your link refuted his refutation, hence, it was the other way around as well as being the original way round.

If you're going to try and be a smartarse, you'll need the ability to remember what you said 5 minutes ago:S

If what he said wasn't a refutation, which is what I stated, then he wasn't refuting what I said. If you are going to criticize, at least follow the conversation and try and understand the dynamics.

:D

Dude, you're totally lost. You said you were refuting Billvon. You actually said "Consider yourself refuted." You then said, in response to Kallend, that it was Billvon who was trying to refute you, not the other way around. The most charitable conclusion i can reach is that you don't understand that it is possible for both you and Bill to be attempting to refute each other's arguments. The other options would be that you a) have the memory of a goldfish or b) realise your mistake and are attempting to baffle your way out of the situation.

Wow, does being WRONG make you crabby!

But crabbiness is understandable given the choice you have between Mitt, Rick and Newt.

As a non-yank living in the US, it amazes me how the entire political spectrum in the country is so shifted to the right that what would pass as very centric in pretty much every other place on earth is viewed as extreme left here.

Yes, a radical shift from 30 years ago. Reagan couldn't get nominated as a Democrat right now.

Jeb Bush recently:

"I used to be a conservative," Bush said, "and I watch these debates and I'm wondering, I don't think I've changed, but it's a little troubling sometimes when people are appealing to people's fears and emotion rather than trying to get them to look over the horizon for a broader perspective and that's kind of where we are."

Hey, you want to know how the Republicans could stop all these humor sites from picking on them?

They could try becoming SO extreme that there's just no way to make a parody of it!

....I might not be able to take credit for coming up with this idea, though.

Or they could try putting up candidates and developing policies/platforms that actually address the reality of the electorate instead of some fucked up fantasy world.

Maybe you have not heard. 200K jobs added every month for the last 3 months. Interest rates are low. Stock market is up. Ford/GM are selling cars.

So perhaps by the time we get to November, Obama might actually be able to say - hey - we actually fixed all your fuck-ups......

Whatever will the right wing do? Continue on a platform that women should not get birth control? I sure hope so......

Might want to have a look at this too.

http://www.gallup.com/poll/153152/Obama-Approval-Averages-February.aspx

But you are right in that the only way he can get elected is to try and blame Bush, Tsunamis, Europe etc. for his failure as a President. He has many minions that care nothing for his record, they will vote for him because he is black and a Democrat.

Never underestimate the influence of a powerful, charismatic leader. ...especially if he is perceived as infallible by so many of his congregation.

I suspect the cake-walk he had in the last election will not exist this time now that he has an actual record he has to defend. I expect him to be scuffed up quite a bit by the Republican candidate.
