The GOP controls the House which controls the purse strings. So they're just as much at fault as Obama and the Democrats in the Senate. My wife is hotter than your wife. lawrocket 3 #7 March 13, 2012 No shit, rocket. I know this. I was merely attempting to point out how easy it is to make campaign promises and then forget about them. And don't tell me to shut up, asshole. My wife is hotter than your wife.
marks2065 0 #8 March 13, 2012 QuoteI think you're talking to yourself again! since nobody else wants to talk about the important issues, I guess I am. maybe we should take the west cost aproach and see what celeberty is making a fool of themselves today and ignore that we will all be bankript by the time we kick Obama, reid, and boehner out of office. pirana 0 #11 March 13, 2012 Quotewhith these numbers are we now ready to end the Obama experiment? http://www.zerohedge.com/news/us-rakes-largest-monthly-deficit-history-2012-tax-revenues-net-refunds-trail-2011 It's not an Obama experiment any more than personal computing is a Bill Gates experiment. Just as we would have arrived at the same point in computing with or without Gates; we have arrived at this point regardless of Obama. We are a part of a first run 200+ year old test of Democracy and capitalism. It's had it's ups and downs; and though the ups have been great, the downs really suck. You'd like to think we would find an equilibrium between capital relentlessly pursuing profit and Democracy seeking a fair distribution of that profit. Isn't working. Does not appear the experiment will last even as long as several other of the great social/economic experiments that eventually proved unsustainable. The flaws are sytemic, we need a new model - not more boogeymen." . . . the lust for power can be just as completely satisfied by suggesting people into loving their servitude as by flogging them and kicking them into obedience." -- Aldous Huxley

You can be sure I'm in no hurry to send a few more thousand to them. And it's equally unsurprising that people rushed to get their refunds, as noted in the article. But without March results, it seems premature to cry wolf over income tax receipts. Many states have been reporting better than expected revenues, which would suggest that incomes were improving. And with the tax debate and the ridiculous debate over FICA tax rates to start the year, many may have waited as there are still some tax decisions that can be made that impact the end result.
